For models that have a plunger or rocker switch, simply depress this switch and the light should go out. The switch is located around the perimeter of the door. For models that have a reed or magnetic switch, run a refrigerator magnet or a screwdriver across the top of the casing, below the gasket.
The high temperature alarm or the red light indicator will be on when your freezer is connected to the mains for the first time. This means that the temperature inside your appliance is still too warm. Keep your freezer door closed and the light will go out in a few hours.
If the light is on, it means the freezer is receiving power and operating normally. If it's off or blinking, it might indicate a problem with the power supply or the freezer itself, and you may need to consult the user manual or contact customer support for assistance.
Your fridge light won't turn off? You should firstly check the light bulb, light sockets, door light switch, ice dispenser and light bulb as well. Remove the bulb from your fridge and check if the filament is in the proper condition. When the filament is broken, then certainly this is the culprit.
When the defrost system activates, there will be no running sounds, no fan noise and you may hear water dripping or sizzling as it hits the heaters. You may even be able to see a red or orange glow at the bottom of the Freezer compartment. This is normal.
Solution. Check to see if the bulb is burned out, and if it is, replace it with an appliance bulb of the same wattage. If the bulb isn't burned out but the light is still off, there might not be electricity running to the freezer. If this is the case, the safety signal light outside the freezer will also be off.
For models that have a plunger or rocker switch, simply depress this switch and the light should go out. The switch is located around the perimeter of the door. For models that have a reed or magnetic switch, run a refrigerator magnet or a screwdriver across the top of the casing, below the gasket.
Does your door closure system have a mechanical switch ? See where it is located, and check if it's working and the effect on the light by pressing it. If it doesn't change anything and the light stays on, there's a chance that this switch is defective or broken and you'll need to replace it.
Although your fridge can still run if its light went out, it is important to identify whether you have a lightbulb issue or an issue with the appliance itself. For example, if your refrigerator door has been open for an extended period of time, many refrigerator lights automatically turn off.
Setting the Temperature
The temperature selection on a Chest Freezer is made by setting the dial from ONE to SEVEN, with SEVEN being the coldest. The normal safe freezing level is obtained by setting the control on FOUR.
You can deactivate this alarm by closing the door. If you do not press the key and do not close the door, the sound switches off after a predefined time. An increase in the temperature in the freezer compartment (for example due to an earlier power failure or opening of the door) activates the high-temperature alarm.
The GREEN light indicates that the appliance has an electrical supply. The AMBER light indicates that the Fast Freeze option is on. The light is combined with a switch. The RED light is warning that there is a high temperature inside the cabinet.
A: The orange/red light should always be on. This is the "power" light. The green light will turn on and off throughout the day. The green light indicates that the compressor is running and trying to reach the set temperature.
It is recommended that a 4-star freezer needs to operate at -18 degrees Celsius as a minimum. This will prevent bacteria from growing and will keep your frozen food fresher for longer. Whilst it is recommended to keep your freezer below -18 degrees Celsius, it is important to not drop the temperature too low.
The Super Freeze function accelerates the freezing of fresh food. It could exit automatically after about 50 hours or you can press the button again to turn off the function manually. Sometimes,we call this fuctions Quick Freeze. Quick Freeze= Super Freeze.
You may also have a faulty door switch or the freezer door needs to be properly aligned. Or it could simply be that the door has been left open and the light automatically turned off after a period of time.
Red Indicator is lit to alert you of a high temperature warning. If the red indicator remains switched on, wait 24-hours before calling the service centre.
The light in your fridge should always turn off automatically once the door is closed. If the light stays on, it will gradually warm the interior of your fridge — making it less efficient. Check if the bulb switches off by opening the door a crack or closing it almost fully over and peering into it.
Press and hold Ice Maker for more than 3 seconds to turn the ice maker off. The ice maker has 2 indicators (ON/OFF) to indicate the operating status. When the ice maker operating, the ON indicator turns on. When the ice maker is not operating, the OFF indicator turns on.
Relaxation exercises: Deep breathing, progressive muscle relaxation and guided imagery can help calm your nervous system, reduce physical symptoms of freeze mode, help you feel more relaxed and reduce your anxiety and stress response.
Back in the days before frost-free freezers, a freezer light would have quickly become covered up by ice crystals, rendering it relatively useless. Since that time, so the story goes, people have become so used to having no light in their freezer, manufacturers didn't see the point in adding one (see Theory 2).
