Open the Clock app. Tap the Alarm tab. Scroll down to the alarm that has been set. Tap the toggle next to the active alarm to turn it off.
Remove the AC power to the home alarm console from the wall directly. Use your console's access key (or another item such as a small screw) to unlock and open the system's backing. Lastly, disconnect at least one of the wires that are attached to the system's main battery, which is blocky and noticeable in most units.
Press the hush/silencing button. It will silence the entire interconnected system. The button may also say “test.” It should silence all the alarms immediately unless there's still smoke and debris. It will reset in eight minutes, given that the smoke and debris have dissipated.
Common reasons your iPhone alarm isn't going off
The Attention Aware Features is lowering sound alerts. Your alarm volume settings may be too low or muted. Your iPhone is in Do Not Disturb mode. An incorrect alarm setting may be preventing your alarm from sounding.
If your car alarm is going off and you are unable to deactivate it, you may need to disconnect the battery to reset the system.
Remove the Power Supply
Flip the breaker connected to your system's control box to the off position to disconnect the circuit to which the sirens are wired. Your alarm may sound at this point. Don your insulated rubber gloves and unscrew the faceplate from the control box.
For most devices, find and hold the button on the front of the alarm, until the alarm stops, to reset the device. Or, find the button labeled "Silent" or "Hush" to disable an inactive alarm. Totally disable an alarm by disconnecting its wires.
Your panel has 2 sources of power: The AC power (where it is plugged into an outlet) and the System backup battery. To fully power down your panel you must disconnect both of these. (Note: Powering down your panel should only be done if it is the last resort.
Do Not Disturb, the Ring/Silent switch, and Silent mode don't affect the alarm sound. If you use the Ring/Silent switch or Action button to turn on Silent mode or turn on Do Not Disturb, the alarm still sounds.
For many of our most popular systems, beeping alarms and low battery trouble beeps can be silenced by pressing the [OFF] or [#] buttons from the keypad. If this does not work, please refer to your security system manual for specific instructions.
If your house alarm keeps going off, consider these possibilities: System Issues – Possible wear and tear, outdated components, or the need for servicing may cause false alarms. Environmental Factors – Open windows can let in wind which can cause objects to move and trigger sensors.
You have to unlock your iPhone or iPad or tap the Stop button on the home screen. You can also say, “Hey, Siri, turn off alarm.” Let's just hope your unconscious mind doesn't learn how to say that in your sleep.
Putting your phone on silent ring or using Do Not Disturb mode shouldn't affect the sound of the alarm. If your alarm volume is too low, go to Settings > Sounds & Haptics to adjust it. If your alarm is only vibrating, make sure your alarm sound isn't set to None.
