Most car owners use only a single bucket of soapy water when cleaning a vehicle. Instead, start using a separate bucket of fresh water to clean your mitt or sponge after every pass. This will remove the dirt and corrosive contaminants from the mitt or sponge, reducing the risk of swirl marks.
The most common cause of swirl marks is improper care and washing of the vehicle's painted surfaces. The major factors that can contribute to swirl marks while washing is: Improper Rinsing (not rinsing completely before washing) Not having enough lubrication from soap or other cleaning chemicals.
The bad news is it's impossible to completely prevent swirl marks. The good news is you can minimize them by using good car washing practices. Start by purchasing a high-quality wash mitt and soap. Rinse every surface before washing to remove heavy dirt and debris.
Machine polishing comes in handy in such situations. Professional detailers utilize a machine polisher to help with swirl removal.
Remember that, the wax is hiding the swirls- not removing them. There's a BIG difference to that. Once the wax wears off in a month or two, the light scratches will come back up and your paint will look dull or not-as-shiny anymore. This is a very inexpensive solution to add more shine to your paint.
Are Swirl marks permanent? No, these blemishes needn't be a permanent feature on your far bonnet. Most light swirls can be removed using a fine cutting compound such as AutoSmart Evo 1, while deeper scratches will require an adaptive medium cutting compound such as Evo +.
The short answer is yes. The properties of ceramic paint coating make it so that it seeps into swirl marks and scratches on your car's vehicle. This does not actually repair the paint finish, though, and does not even visually hide the damage, unless the damage is extremely small.

Because touchless car washes don't do anything besides spray water at your vehicle, you're not likely to experience swirling in your vehicle's paint. One of the biggest causes of swirl marks in a vehicle is the drying process. Some facilities will hand dry your vehicle to avoid leaving water spots.
Hand polishing can be effective, especially on small areas with fine abrasives, and it is possible to remove light swirling in this way. But, due to the way a polishing compound and car polish works, using a machine polisher will usually be the quickest and most effective method.
If you park your car in the sunlight and are able to see many light scratch marks and spiderweb swirls then your vehicle may require a paint correction. A paint correction could cost you anywhere from $350-$3000. The price depends on many factors such as the level of correction you get.
You may want to avoid washing your car if the outside temperature is at or below freezing (32 degrees Fahrenheit). Shoot for doing a car wash in cold temperatures when the thermometer shows a reading of at least 49 degrees. Ideally, though, the temperature should be between 50 and 89 degrees.
One potential drawback is the cost of applying a ceramic coating. The process can be time-consuming and labor-intensive, and the materials used can be expensive, which can make it a costly option compared to traditional waxes or sealants.
Compared to a band-aid solution, this perceived “smoothness” leads to the misconception that ceramic is the key to fixing damaged paint. The truth is, swirl marks and scratches will certainly be filled out, but the visible marks will not be repaired.

WOOL PAD - highly aggressive pads used for cutting or heavy compounding and removes extreme swirls or oxidation on very hard paint. It removes heavy oxidation much better than foam pads and generates less heat resulting in cooler surface.
Avoid excessive pressure.
Learning to equalize the pressure of the buffer across the entire paint surface is imperative. Too much pressure, even if your pad and product are perfect, will make the buffing process too aggressive, heating up the surface of the paint and causing swirl marks.
Once again: A clay bar cannot remove paint imperfections such as swirl marks or scratches. It also won't improve the shine. What it will do is remove the grunge so you can see a bright, clear finish. A Clay Bar won't remove scratches and swirl marks because they are defects in the surface of the paint.
Popular compounding products such as the Menzerna Heavy Cut Compound 400 and Meguiar's #105 Ultra-Cut Compound are formulated to dig deeper into the clear coat. These products are great for removing deep scratches, heavy swirl marks, oxidation, water spots, and heavy stains.
You may have noticed that swirl marks show up most on black and other dark-colored cars. This is because the sides of the scratches reflect light. Black being the biggest contrast to white causes the reflections to be more prominent.
The best possible wash for your vehicle's finish is a handwash. It's the least abrasive wash you can perform without sacrificing thoroughness. Though as with anything in life, sometimes the best possible isn't an option.
