You'll need it to manage 4-digit User Codes and Vacation Mode. To add a 4-digit User Code, enter your Programming Code, press 1, and then enter the desired code twice. To delete a 4-digit User Code, enter your Programming Code, press 2, and enter the code you want to delete twice.
To test, enter the default PIN (13579 and “#”). The Schlage button will blink and the lock will unlock. The default PIN is automatically deleted when a new programming credential is created. If you press the default PIN code on a new lock and the code is not accepted, the lock has already been programmed.
Temporarily Disable Auto-Lock Auto-Lock must already be enabled. While the deadbolt is locked, press the Outside Schlage Button and then enter a 4-8 digit access code to unlock the deadbolt. Within 5 seconds, manually lock and unlock the deadbolt using the thumbturn.

Because most of the default code of the keypad door lock are very simple when they are set at the factory, either 00000 or 1234, which can be easily deciphered by strangers, it is very important to change a use code that only you know and is not easy to be guessed by others.
If you need to find your programming code, look inside the back of your lock. Simply remove the battery cover and you'll see a label with your Prog. Code.
The Schlage Connect deadbolt will continue to work even if it's not connected to the internet if, for example, you choose not to use remote access or if your internet is down. In these instances, you can lock and unlock the door and manage access codes at the touchscreen.
Check the battery level in the app or replace them to see if that fixes the issue. Keep in mind that the Encode will blink red when an incorrect user code is entered as well. If it is blinking red after entering a code, test other codes. When no codes are being accepted, check they are valid in the app.
The most common Schlage keyway is indicated by the letter C. However, Schlage has several other keyways, including E, F, G and L, and therefore we have many hooks holding Schlage key blanks.
User Codes • A User Code can be any combination of 4 - 8 digits entered into the keypad to unlock the lock. The first 4-6 digits must be different from the first 4-6 digits of the Programming Code. Two User Codes are programmed into the lock by default.
