Remove the AC power to the home alarm console from the wall directly. Use your console's access key (or another item such as a small screw) to unlock and open the system's backing. Lastly, disconnect at least one of the wires that are attached to the system's main battery, which is blocky and noticeable in most units.
Open the Clock app. Tap the Alarm tab. Scroll down to the alarm that has been set. Tap the toggle next to the active alarm to turn it off.
Common reasons your iPhone alarm isn't going off
The Attention Aware Features is lowering sound alerts. Your alarm volume settings may be too low or muted. Your iPhone is in Do Not Disturb mode. An incorrect alarm setting may be preventing your alarm from sounding.
There will be a red wire and a black wire clipped onto the battery, only one wire needs to be pulled off in order to completely disconnect the battery from the system. Once this is done and the transformer is unplugged, the system should be completely powered off.
Power Down
Unplug the power supply and battery in the alarm panel box. These are usually located in, or around: A utility closet.
The alarm in your home security system is designed to be a deterrent to intruders, as well as alert occupants and draw attention to your home, whether that be from neighbours, passers-by or authorities. Systems will sound for about 5 to 10 minutes, depending on the system, before stopping and automatically re-arming.
If, after knocking on the door, the owner is home and answers the door, they can silence the alarm, and if necessary, contact their alarm company. If the occupant is not home, and you are able to contact them, the next step would be to try to reach out to inform them that their alarm is going off by telephone.
Most systems will begin beeping or chirping as a result of a total power outage or failure to recharge the system backup battery. For many of our most popular systems, beeping alarms and low battery trouble beeps can be silenced by pressing the [OFF] or [#] buttons from the keypad.
Single beeps: Single beeps that occur 30 seconds to one minute apart usually suggest the battery in your device needs to be replaced. However, they can also signal other issues with your device, including dust in the sensors (such as in our case) or that the unit has reached EOL (end of life) and needs to be replaced.
Do Not Disturb, the Ring/Silent switch, and Silent mode don't affect the alarm sound. If you use the Ring/Silent switch or Action button to turn on Silent mode or turn on Do Not Disturb, the alarm still sounds.
Haptic feedback is the vibration you feel on supported models when you perform some actions, such as when you touch and hold any icon on the Home Screen.
