The majority of our ceramic and porcelain tiles don't need to be sealed. In fact, by their very definition, porcelain tiles almost completely impervious to water. This offers a huge advantage as many of our tiles offer the charm of natural materials, without the upkeep and maintenance.
The Drawback of Using Grout Sealer
Moisture can still pass through most sealers, meaning grout isn't entirely waterproof even when sealed. Over time, grout in areas like bathrooms will naturally stain or show signs of aging, regardless of sealing.
The porcelain tile sealer can also be used on ceramic wall and floor tiles. Furthermore, it helps to prevent general soiling & surface staining. Although this is not a cosmetic product, it does act as a colour enhancer and leaves a subtle wet look sheen once dry.
Detergent is very useful in removing grease from tile and giving the floor its original shine. But you must use the Wax-free neutral detergent and mild detergent to keep tile shiny and clean. There is some floor cleaning solution such as Faberchimica, Lithofin, and others that you can use to give shine to the tile.
Avoid oil- and wax-based cleaners and never use a solution containing acids, ammonia, or bleach on your glazed porcelain tiles. These products can alter the color of the tile and eat away the grout.
Porcelain tile is typically dense and impervious and as such, doesn't necessarily need to be sealed. Whenever any surface is sealed, there will always be an issue of recurring maintenance just for that sealer.
