Usually no rinsing required. On wood surfaces, do not allow puddles of cleaner to remain. *Not recommended for use on unfinished, unsealed, unpainted, waxed, oiled or worn flooring.
If some areas of your laminate floors need extra attention, you can use Pine-Sol® Multi-Surface Cleaner straight out of the bottle on stubborn floor stains such as grease.
Finally, when used and applied the right way, Pine Sol doesn't leave behind any residue that will leave you with an unsightly hardwood floor surface. Wax and oil-based cleaners, on the other hand, leave behind a hazy residual substance.
First of all, the only hazardous ingredient listed on the Pine Sol MSDS is alkyl alcohol ethoxylates. These belong to a group of chemicals called "aromatic hydrocarbons" which are petrochemicals with strong, pungent, odors. The only health hazard listed on the MSDS is that it is an irritant.
Or for everyday mess control, keep the Pine-Sol® mixture in a spray bottle for quick cleaning spritzes. Scrub crevices in counters with grout with an old toothbrush. Scrub stubborn messes or stains with full strength Pine-Sol®, using plastic scrubbing pad or cloth. Finish by rinsing with water.
According to Pine-Sol, you should refrain from using undiluted Pine-Sol on metal surfaces, such as copper or aluminum.
We like using Pine-Sol® Original Pine Multi-Surface Cleaner on hardwood floors. Pine-Sol® also comes in other scents, like Lemon Fresh®, Lavender Clean®, Sparkling Wave® and Tropical Flower™. Just choose your favorite. All of them will leave your home smelling fresh and clean.
What is this? Pine-Sol is more acidic than Fabuloso, which gives it an advantage in breaking down stubborn stains and complex messes caused by grease. Pine-Sol Original is the only liquid cleaning solution that disinfects.
You can also use Pine-Sol® Original Squirt 'N Mop®. It's safe for wood and hard nonporous surfaces like ceramic and porcelain tiles, and also sealed granite. You can apply this product directly from the bottle over a 3' x 3' area and start mopping.
You're Using Too Much Product
If you're sure you've got the right product, but your floors still end up sticky, there might be another issue. Namely, it's important to properly dilute the cleaning agent with water. Otherwise, it will leave a sticky residue that's going to be even harder to clean.
Sticky floors occur when you leave behind too much cleaning solution, use the wrong floor cleaner, or not rinsing with clean water after mopping. You can clean the residue off tile and wood floors and then rinse using a clean mop and water. Clean with a steam mop to remove the sticky residue easily.
It is preferable to use cold water instead of hot water when mopping. The reason is that it does not damage the flooring and it retains floor shine. It also helps in eradicating germs and bacteria. Additionally, cold water saves a lot of electricity and leaves off a cooling effect later after cleaning.
You can use Pine-Sol® cleaners on hard, nonporous surfaces, including floors, sinks, counters, stoves, bathtubs, shower stalls, tile and more!
Lysol can be hard to find online and in-stores, but Pine-Sol seems to still be available at most retailers. Compared to Lysol, Pine-Sol has a longer contact time (Lysol's ranges from 2 minutes to 5 minutes) but will still effectively help you to limit your contact with the virus.
Common household white vinegar is an effective cleaning substitute for Pine-Sol. Vinegar is nontoxic and since it is acidic, also dissolves stains on hard surfaces. Also, priced at just a few dollars a gallon, vinegar is less expensive than Pine-Sol.
Many different scents of Pine-Sol now exist today that can fill your kitchen with a pleasant aroma. The cleaning solution can be used many surfaces, such as vinyl, tile, porcelain and other nonporous surfaces. Pine-Sol removes dirt and debris and it also disinfects floors, which makes it ideal for the kitchen.
A: Yes. Original Pine-Sol® Multi-Surface Cleaner is registered with the EPA as a disinfectant when used as directed full strength. When used according to the instructions on the product, it kills 99.9% of germs and household bacteria on hard, nonporous surfaces.
Mop Frequently
High-traffic areas, like kitchens, bathrooms, hallways, and entryways, require weekly mopping. Infrequently used rooms, such as formal living areas or guest rooms, can be mopped every other week, or even once a month, so long as they're vacuumed once ever seven days (this will remove dust and grit).
The first time, wet the entire floor (don't flood it, just get it good and wet). This will loosen the dirt and any sticky goo. Mop around the edges first, then move to the middle of the floor, using overlapping, figure-eight strokes. When one side of the mop gets dirty, turn the mop over to the clean side.
Clean before you mop.
You should always sweep, dust mop or vacuum to remove large pieces of debris and stray hair.

1. Sweep often — at least once a week. By sticking to this routine, you can clean your floors before dirt has time to collect on the surface.
The Twist & Shout does NOT leave any residue after use. Take a damp paper towel and wipe the cleaned floor after using the Swiffer Sweeper and see if the floor is truly clean. I have used the Swiffer products and found that most left something behind.
