Low water pressure itself does not increase your water bill, but the underlying cause often does. A drop in pressure is frequently a symptom of costly plumbing issues.
However, when water pressure is too high or too low, it can lead to a host of issues, from increased water bills to damage to your plumbing system. Maintaining the right water pressure is essential not only for comfort but also for conserving water and reducing utility costs.

Exceeding 135 degrees (such as using three 45-degree bends or a 90 and two 45s) requires a cleanout because sharp turns hinder flow and cause clogs.

Water meters are accurate and reliable instruments and rarely the reason behind a high bill, so let's first look at the more common reasons for a higher bill: 1) increases in household water usage, and 2) leaks in your plumbing. Additional occupants taking more showers, more laundry loads, dishes, etc.

You might argue that very few people fill the tub to the top, but a simple calculation shows that either way, baths use more water.
