I got the Eraser wet, put a dry towel beneath the stain, and worked at it using the corner of the sponge. As I would have predicted, the red spot totally disappeared — I think the Dawn cut through the oil in the stain, and the Eraser had no problem at all “erasing” the tomato residue. A winning combination!
Don't Use Them On Your Car
Or any other delicate surface, for that matter, like silverware, glass, or metal surfaces. Dry erasers have the abrasiveness of a 3000 grit sandpaper – very fine, but can still mar shiny surfaces – like your stainless steel appliances!
Magic erasers can actually be used dry, but adding a little water to the sponge will help it absorb dirt more easily, much like wetting a towel before wiping down counters.
Surfaces to avoid with Dawn® Powerwash:
Glass with UV coatings or other specialty treatments. Painted, varnished, or coated surfaces, including automobile paint. Precious metals, copper, or sterling silver. Leather, upholstery, or fabrics that won't later be rinsed.
Wet | Make sure you always wet your Magic Eraser before you use it. If you use it dry, you are more apt to scratch the surface you are trying to get clean. Make sure to squeeze out excess water before you get started or it will drip all over your surface. Too much water in mr.
How to clean with the Magic Eraser? To activate the melamine sponge's cleaning superpower, just slightly wet it with water. You do not even need to use cleaning supplies with it. Water makes the melamine foam structure hard and abrasive enough to scrub away any dirt as sandpaper would do but much more delicately.
Before you retire to the couch, rinse out your Magic Eraser and give your newly freshened surfaces a water wipe down, too. If what you cleaned will come in contact with food, you'll need to wipe it with a wet rag or paper towel, so it will be ready for the next time you meet again.
Preferences vary, and on the whole, demand wasn't enough for us to continue making it.
For simple messes: Just spray, wipe, and rinse. For tougher messes: You can skip the overnight soak, just let the suds sit for 3-4 minutes. You may see the suds gradually change from white to the color of the mess as Powerwash starts breaking down grease. Then, lightly scrub, and rinse.
Warnings. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. Eye irritant. In case of eye contact, flush thoroughly with water.
Clean's Magic Eraser with Dawn Is the Winning Combo I Didn't Know I Needed.
You can easily pick up a melamine foam brick to use as a generic replacement for your Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. And it will cost you half the price! From scuffing left by wall art to getting pesky scratches off your flooring, the no-name option might be your best bet.
Magic Eraser is made of superfine foam which is abrasive and can result in rashes or burns, even with gentle rubbing.
Glass, Including the Windshield
A magic eraser is a safe and effective cleaning tool to clean car glass. It won't scratch the glass and only removes dirt, such as insects, debris, haze, and smoke films. A clean windshield and windows are essential for a driver's safety and visibility.
Drop a Magic Eraser corner straight into the toilet bowl. Before washing the toilet ring, let the Magic Eraser soak in the water for a few minutes. Once the stain is gone, swirl the Magic Eraser around the toilet bowl. To have the cleaning residue washed away, flush the toilet.
No wand-waving here: The “magic” of the eraser is simply melamine, a nitrogen-rich organic base that, in its solid state, is a powerful-yet-delicate abrasive. Melamine is a widespread chemical compound used in everything from dry erase boards to sound insulation on bullet trains to your grandparents' Formica table.
This blue Dawn dish soap is very similar to the original Dawn Ultra formulation, and it's easy to confuse the two when shopping. The big difference is that the Platinum formula contains a few more surfactants than the original, which did help Platinum outperform its predecessor in our scrub test this year.
Clean the Bathtub and Shower
Fortunately, Powerwash revolutionizes this labor-intensive chore. Simply spray the cleanser all over the surfaces (both glass and ceramic), let it sit for five minutes then wipe it off—no hard scrubbing required!
Rolls-Royce has officially announced the end of the production of its convertible classic, the Dawn. The news marks the end of Rolls-Royce Dawn's seven-year production run.
Water and Magic Erasers should get the job done, Deonarain says, but “for tough stains, you can use them in pairing with another cleaning solution,” like vinegar or dish soap.
“Use microfiber cloths to wipe the inside of the glass in a circular motion, then vertically. Next, use a magic eraser with water, using the same method. Lastly, spray glass cleaner on a microfiber cloth and wipe to finish.”
