The method: Baking soda and vinegar are probably the safest products you could use to clean your oven. Baking soda is known for dissolving dirt, grease, and other sticky residue while providing a gentle abrasive to clean without leaving scratches behind.
Mix about 1/2 cup of baking soda with just enough water to make a spreadable paste. Add a little warm water at a time to the baking soda until you get the right consistency. You may have to make more paste depending on the size of your oven. Apply the paste inside the oven using a regular paintbrush.

Another easy and natural cleaning solution for your oven is to spray it down with vinegar and dish soap. In a spray bottle, mix equal parts of white vinegar, dish soap, and water (to dilute it). After spraying the inside of the oven, let the mixture sit for a few hours.

If you have a gentle all-purpose cleaner on hand, that also works great for giving your oven a scrub. It is recommended that you clean your oven every 3-6 months. Consider it as part of your regular home maintenance.
Is oven cleaner safe? Oven cleaner typically contains strong chemicals designed to dissolve stubborn grease and food residue in ovens. While effective for cleaning, these chemicals can be hazardous if not used properly.
Ovens heat to around 800 degrees for three hours during a self-cleaning process. It's not uncommon for an oven to not heat after self-cleaning due to the extremely high heat. The high heat may cause component failure, which is why we advise to never run the self-clean cycle right before a major holiday or event.
For easier cleans:
Wipe out the crumbs with a paper towel or rag. Wet the sponge and squeeze about five drops of dish soap directly on the sponge (scrubber side) or spray a liberal amount of Dawn Spray on the sponge. Wipe the bottom of the oven and walls. Scrub off baked-on particles.
If you're wary, mix bicarbonate of soda with a little water to make a paste. Rub it onto your oven door and leave for 20 minutes before wiping it off with a damp microfibre cloth. Some oven cleaners come with rack sponges and rack bags to help you clean dirty shelves.
With the oven cool, place the bowl of ammonia on the bottom rack or the bottom of the oven if you've removed the racks. Allow it to sit for 8 to 12 hours or overnight. The fumes from the ammonia will work to loosen baked-on grime. Keep the windows cracked overnight to allow any fumes to escape.
