You will not be able to use your current Schlage keys in your new Yale lock. We can custom cut new Yale SC1 keys (available at checkout) to your existing Schlage SC1 keyway number, so you can use one set of keys in both your new Yale locks, and existing locks with SC1 keyways.
Yale cylinders are available within a choice of keying systems to meet the degree of security desired for the facility requirements. All standard and optional cylinders have a . 51” diameter pin-tumbler plug and are regularly provided with a 6-pin brass cylinder and RB8 (5 pin) keys.
Kwikset, Yale, and Baldwin Prestige can all be keyed to the same key.
Re-keying kits are available for most lock brands but they're not interchangeable. You must buy a kit for each brand of lock in your home. (If you're lucky, they'll all be the same brand!) Each kit will re-key six locks, but you can order extra pins if you need to do more.

This type of key is found on 'Yale Superior' euro cylinder locks which are quite common in uPVC / Double Glazed Doors. Unlike many cheaper cylinder locks the Yale Superior locks have keys that can only be re-cut with a special encrypted code which is printed on your Yale Superior Key code card.
Yes, normal Yale keys can be cut and copied, if you have a Yale security key then proof of ownership will be required by the locksmith cutting the key.

For Keyed Alike orders, you must purchase the same manufacturer's products. For example, a Kwikset key will not go into a Schlage product and vise-a-versa. All products offered for sale on this site clearly list the manufacturer, and you can shop by brand to make sure everything can be keyed the same.
This is because Schlage and Kwikset locks are not compatible with the same type of key. Their keyways are made differently, therefore you will either want to have all Schlage locks or all Kwikset locks. When you're at home, you don't want to use different keys for each lock you own.
