Halo will not lock if your batteries are too low so as to prevent accidentally locking you out. For information on how to change your batteries, Please see Halo Touchscreen install guide or Halo Keypad install guide. Halo may not be locking if the bolt hole on the door frame is not deep enough.
My Keypad Is Unresponsive
Test each button on the keypad (one at a time), and listen for a beep as each button is pressed. If beeping is not heard on all buttons, replace the batteries. If battery replacement does not solve the problem, contact Kwikset Support at 1-866-863-6584.
Two possible issues: The lock was not removed completely from another network before being paired with the new network. Follow your smart home system's instructions to remove (exclude/unpair) the device from any other network. Then, attempt to pair (add/include) the lock again.
From the outside, Halo has a convenient 1-touch locking button on the keypad to easily lock the deadbolt or with a key. From the inside, Halo can be locked using the sleek turnpiece. Additionally, the lock features Auto Lock which will automatically lock after a preset time delay.
Auto-lock is an optional re-locking feature whereby the Halo deadbolt re-locks itself after a selectable time delay after it's been unlocked.
