A clogged water filter can restrict water flow to the ice maker and cause it not to make enough ice. Most refrigerator freezer water filters need to be changed approximately every six months. If you suspect the water filter may cause your ice maker to won't produce ice, replace it.
The most common causes are: The water fill tubes are blocked. The water inlet valve is blocked or frozen. The water filter is dirty or clogged.
Several problems can interfere with making ice properly or dispensing ice. The ice maker or dispenser could be jammed or broken, a dirty water filter or kinked water line could be blocking water flow or the water inlet valve could be clogged or faulty.
First, remove the ice bucket and the covering from the front of the ice maker. Some models have a button you will need to push to remove the ice tray and cover. Others will just require you to pull it off. Once the ice tray and covering have been removed, locate and press the ice maker reset button for about 3 seconds.
Basically removing all your food, unplugging the unit, allowing all the frost to melt and then drying out the compartment. Plugging it back in, allowing it to cool down and then restocking it with your food.
The usual evidence of a clogged drain in a Side-by-Side Refrigerator is ice under the bottom basket in the freezer compartment in addition to a puddle of water on the floor. Built-In models and most Freestanding models require service to correct the issue.
It's possible that Ice may be jammed. Ice could have melted and frozen around the auger due to infrequent use, temperature fluctuations, and/or power outages. Remove the ice bin, thaw and empty contents. Clean the ice bin (wipe/dry) and replace in proper position.
If you don't hear a chime and there is no movement from the ice maker, unplug the fridge or turn it off at the circuit breaker for 2 minutes. Then, power it back up and try again.

Freezer Temperatures
The temperature of a freezer should be set at 0 degrees Fahrenheit so everything stays very cold. A freezer should be cold enough to keep food frozen and preserve it until they are ready to be cooked or reheated.

Temperature Affects Ice Production
The Refrigerator and icemaker must be at proper temperature. The recommended fresh food temperature is 37° Fahrenheit; the freezer recommended temperature is 0° Fahrenheit. The icemaker must reach about 16°Fahrenheit before a cycle will begin.
Fill a turkey baster with warm water and pour the water over the water line. Alternatively, you can defrost the water line with a hair dryer or by letting the refrigerator sit unplugged for upward of two hours. Restore power to the refrigerator and listen for the water supply to fill the ice mold.

If the auger motor is burned out or defective, the ice won't move forward and fall through the chute.
If frost is building up in your freezer but the defrost heater isn't triggered, there might be a problem with the defrost control board. The defrost control board is part of your freezer's cooling system, and it tells the heater to turn on at regular intervals to prevent frost buildup.
There are several reasons your ice maker may suddenly stop working, including a blocked water dispenser, issues with your water supply line or a clogged water filter.
Your freezer temperature could be too high, the water inlet valve may not be functioning correctly, your home water pressure may be low, the refrigerator's water filter may be clogged, or the ice maker may need to be replaced.
To be sure the control arm is the problem, do a full Frigidaire ice maker reset. Depending on your model, you can perform a hard reset on your ice maker using the control panel. Hold the on/off button until the LED is red. Wait a couple of minutes and then hold the same button until it's green.
Locate the Drain Hole: The drain hole is typically located at the back of the freezer compartment, near the bottom. It may be covered by a plastic or rubber plug.
Flush with Warm Water: Fill a turkey baster with warm water and gently flush the drain tube to dislodge any remaining debris. You won't need any drain cleaners or harsh chemicals. Baking soda is enough to break up difficult clogs. Repeatedly flush the drain until the water flows freely.
