Why would a door swing open? It is most common for the hinges to be misaligned or the recessed door hinges to be set to deeply into the frame. By bending the hinge pin, it is possible to fix it quickly without having to determine the cause of the problem.

The easiest way is to remove one of the hinge pins and hit it in the middle of the pin shaft so it has a slight bend. Reinstall the pin into the hinge and it should stop or greatly slow down the self-opening. If that does not work you can try doing it on the other pins as well.
