To qualify for the $1,200 California Stimulus Checks in 2024, applicants must meet specific criteria: Tax Filing Requirements: You must have filed your taxes for the 2020 tax year. Residency: You must have lived in California for more than half of the year 2020.
You must have resided in California for at least half of the 2020 tax year and reside in the state on the date payments are issued. You must not be declared as a dependent by another taxpayer. Your adjusted gross income (AGI) must be less than $75,000.
To qualify for the Golden State Stimulus Check in 2024, several criteria must be met: Filed your 2020 taxes. Received the California Earned Income Tax Credit (CalEITC). Filed your taxes using an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN).
Eligibility is determined based on 2019 tax returns. Individuals who made up to $75,000 and married couples who made up to $150,000 will qualify.
Gasoline is especially expensive, currently hovering around $4.24 per gallon, so the aid will be offered to legal American citizens or those holding residency who are earning below $75,000, $150,000 if married, filed jointly.
The GSG will provide a one-time $600 payment to all eligible SSI/SSP and CAPI recipients. Due to guidance issued by the federal government, this payment will not be counted toward the SSI/SSP resource limit of $2,000 for an individual and $3,000 for a couple.

Determine your eligibility
You were eligible if you: Filed your 2020 tax return by October 15, 2021[i] Met the California adjusted gross income (CA AGI) limits described in the What you may have received section. Were not eligible to be claimed as a dependent in the 2020 tax year.
