The “permanent press” or “wrinkle-resistant” setting is a great choice for many of your everyday clothing items — from slacks and dresses to outerwear and jackets. This setting generates a medium heat. It will dry your clothes without inflicting the damage high heat can cause.
Turning the heater on will dry them faster than an AC mode. Hot air has lower relative humidity, and will absorb moisture faster.
The Air Fluff or Air Dry cycle is a gentle drying option that doesn't use heat. Instead, it circulates room-temperature air to refresh and fluff up garments. This setting is particularly useful for items that could be damaged by heat, such as rubber-backed rugs, clothes with embellishments, or delicate fabrics.
Use Automatic Dry for best drying results. Use Timed Dry for the occasional damp load that needs more drying time.

For the best temperature for dry mode, set your air conditioner to 24°C. This temperature effectively reduces indoor moisture without making the room feel too cold. Dry mode controls humidity effectively, but it doesn't handle extreme cooling. Switch to cool mode on particularly hot days.
Don't overload the dryer
Your clothes need ample room to tumble in the dryer for quick drying times. In this case, less is more. Loading your dryer with fewer items can help dry clothes faster by increasing the airflow between the garments.
Not all dryers have a tumble or air dry option, but that doesn't mean you don't have options. Simply turn your dryer's temperature knob to “low heat.” If you can't find that setting, select “delicate” or “gentle” instead.

TUMBLE DRY MEDIUM
Medium heat will dry fabrics slower and gentler than high heat, helping prevent wrinkles from setting while protecting synthetic fibers which can ripple under high heat.

The dryer symbol with three dots in a circle indicates that you can and should dry your item at the highest temperature.
Nylon, Polyester, Terylene fabrics tend to dry quicker than cotton fabrics. The synthesized fabric soak little water causing it to dry quickly. Synthesized fabric is a type of "Polymer". Synthetic fabric is more shiny and soft.
As a general rule, higher temperatures are best used for heavy items, like towels, jeans and jackets. Low to medium heat settings are ideal for sheets, blouses and undergarments, while no-heat settings are designed for heat-sensitive fabrics or garments containing rubber or plastic.
Low humidity, low heat and good air circulation are critical for successful drying. You can use a dehydrator, oven, microwave or even air-dry some foods. Start with good quality foods. Blanch vegetables first and pretreat most fruit. Remember, successful drying takes time.
Vary the heat levels: Not every fabric should be dried using a hot setting. Excessively high heat contributes to shrinkage and over-drying clothing causes damage to fabrics. Never overload the dryer: Your clothes need room to tumble freely for efficient drying and to prevent wrinkles.
A low-heat dryer setting will slowly shrink the garment with less risk of damage than high heat. Aggressively agitating wet wool on high heat can also lead to felting. Set the machine to a 30-minute timer. Check the garment every five minutes to monitor how much it shrinks.
Steps to Prevent Wrinkling
Remove clothes immediately when the Dryer stops tumbling and place on hangers or fold them. Dry only one wash load at a time. Do not combine loads. If drying only one article, add two similar articles even if dry, to ensure proper tumbling.
The square with a circle inside is the general symbol for tumble drying. If you see it on a laundry label, your item can be tumble-dried, and it's safe to put it in the dryer.
Recent research shows that new dryers use significantly less energy to dry most typical loads on low heat than on high heat, even though the dryer runs longer. If you aren't in a rush, let the clothes run longer on low heat. This will save energy and is gentler on clothes.
Condenser dryers are heavy-duty workhorses that handle large loads and dry your clothes fast with minimal noise. Heat pump dryers work more slowly (and loudly), taking around 30 minutes longer to dry the same amount of laundry. Vented dryers also dry clothes fast but generally have less settings and modern features.
The MORE DRY setting allows the dryer to remove the most moisture from the clothing. The LESS DRY setting indicates that a small amount of moisture is to be left in the clothing (to prevent wrinkling, etc.).
When an AC unit runs on dry mode, it uses less electricity than the same AC unit running in cool mode. This makes dry mode the ideal choice when the weather is humid but not necessarily hot. On these days, you may feel hot even though the temperature isn't very high. You can run your AC unit in dry mode to cool down.
Extra Dry –The extra dry setting means a longer cycle time, to ensure bulkier items are completely dry.
The recommended temperature for drying food is around 50 °C or 122 °F. At the beginning of the drying process, you can briefly raise the temperature to around 60 °C to 70 °C or 140 °F to 158 °F, but after a few hours you should lower it to 50 °C or 122 °F.
