Combine equal parts vinegar and soap and then add a few tablespoons of sugar – once you mix it all together you can place the bowl wherever the gnats have been gathering. They will be attracted to the sugar and vinegar and drown in the mixture.
Pour a few tablespoons of apple cider vinegar into a bowl or jar, then stir in a few drops of dish soap. The bugs will be attracted to the sweet smell, and the sticky soap will prevent them from being able to fly away. Some people also like to mix in a little sugar, as well, to really amp up the sweetness.
Homemade gnat killer spray: A mixture of half a cup of water, half a cup of isopropyl alcohol, and a teaspoon of dish liquid can be filled in a spray bottle. This mixture can be sprayed on the gnats directly to kill them.

Neem oil is a natural pesticide that's pressed out of the seeds of neem trees. Just like hydrogen peroxide, neem oil can be diluted with water. Unlike hydrogen peroxide, neem oil solutions also kill mature fungus gnats and thereby speed up the process of eliminating the pests for good.
The nail will need to grow out to show clearer results. For deep, stubborn infections, it can take 6 months or longer for any visible changes. Even with consistent use, peroxide may struggle to reach fungus trapped under thickened nails.
Use a small saucer to mix a few tablespoons of apple cider vinegar, a few drops of dishwashing soap and a little sugar. Put the saucer near the gnats. Use more than one saucer, if needed. The gnats will be drawn to the sweet solution, fall in and get trapped.
The only way to get rid of gnats without killing them is to repel them with scents they don't like: vinegar, vanilla, pine oil, peppermint, lemon, eucalyptus, and lavender. Even dryer sheets could help.
Personally, I prefer coco coir over regular potting soil because of fungus gnats. Fungus gnats love damp soil and organic potting soil holds onto water a lot longer than coco coir. If you tend to over water your plants or deal with fungus gnats a lot, consider switching to coco coir.
Many of these “gnats” are not attracted to vinegar traps and may not be breeding in the kitchen area of the home. If your pest control professional identifies these “gnats” as fruit flies, then and only then, can we consider using vinegar traps as a tool to capture the adult fruit flies,' he says.
Change the apple cider vinegar in the fruit fly trap every few days. The longer it sits, it will lose potency and they won't be attracted to it.
