Outlet tubes connect gutters with downspouts, helping water flow smoothly. End caps seal off gutter ends, preventing overflow, while miters help connect gutters at corners for efficient water movement.
Elbows are usually used to connect the Leader to the Gutter and they are installed at the bottom of the Leader to point the water away from the home.
Install downspouts
Attach one end of the downspout to the gutters with rivets or screws. Then, slide the other end in place and secure it with rivets or screws as well. For curved sections of the gutter, you may need special elbows to help fit around the corners.
Gutter Outlets - these are used to connect the gutter to the downpipe. The outlet sits slightly lower than the base of the gutter which allows the water to run out more easily.
Hangers and hidden hangers are the piece that connect the gutter section to your home. Hidden hangers are installed inside the gutter so that they're not visible from below or front. End caps are the piece of a gutter section that helps keep excess debris or water from escaping the gutters.

Fascia. A type of trim that runs horizontally along the roof's eaves, providing a base for attaching the gutters (also called the fascia board).

Directions for How to Connect Gutter Downspouts
Connect an elbow to the gutter opening for the downspout with two sheet metal screws. It should bend toward the house wall. Fit another elbow onto the first elbow. It will form a slight S shape.
Downspout disconnection is the process of disconnecting the downspout from a pipe or the paved area. Water is then redirected to flow into a rain barrel or to a lawn or garden where it can soak into the ground. Redirecting downspouts to a landscaped area is a great way to help reduce runoff from a property.

This is to prevent saturated ground and potential flooding or damage to the building's structure over time. Instead, downpipes should outlet into surface water drains or soakaways, which allow rainwater to gradually soak into the ground safely. Directing downpipes straight into underground drains can overload them.
Spike & Ferrule
The spike is the long nail used to secure gutters through the front lip, through the rear of the gutter and into the fascia board while the ferrule is the hollow tube through which the spike is passed.
The only places gutters are attached to your home are at the eaves of those pitched sections. Gutters are never attached along the gabled sides. At the eaves, the gutters are firmly attached to fascia boards.
Connecting Gutters to Downpipes
If your downpipe is a straight drop, it's a straight push fit connection on to the neck of the outlet. There is no solvent or silicon required as the pipes may need to be dismantled for cleaning.
Seal it with gutter sealant and screw it into place with gutter screws. Then, fit the downspout onto the outlet (from the bottom). Use screws to attach the downspout onto the outlet in at least two spots. Follow up by fixing the downspout against the side of the house with straps.
For a leaking downpipe joint, first clean the area to remove any dirt, loose paint or rust. You can purchase repair tape to wrap around the joint. Overlap the ends of the length of tape then squeezing tightly to mould the tape to the shape of the joint.

Some of these parts are only inches long, but they all work together to function flawlessly.
A shoe is the component that is fitted to the very end of the downpipe and acts as a funnel for the rainwater into the drain.
The fascia board is the long, straight board that runs along the lower edge of the roof. The fascia is fixed directly to the lower ends of the roof trusses and usually does all the work of supporting the lower edge of the bottom row of tiles. The fascia board also carries all the guttering.
