Shackleless Padlocks
Contrary to the name, these actually do have a shackle, but the steel body completely encases it. No part of it is exposed, making it impossible to tamper with or cut the shackle. Shackleless padlocks are generally combined with a specific security “hasp,” or latch.
No, there are many locks that can't be picked. But that doesn't mean they can't be defeated in other ways. ABLOY disc cylinders have traditionally been unpickable due to their complexity, and number of unique combinations.
Key On A String
Essentially, you align the key with the key way and “inject” the key, which is actually a chain, into the lock. This allows the key way to wind around in the lock, making it impossible for conventional picks to get in and lift the tumblers, and essentially makes your stuff unpickable.
Look for locks that have a contoured shape for the internal pins or a side bar to help thwart any traditional lock-picking attempts on your home. You can also switch to one of the less common locks on the market, such as that of a dimple lock, tubular lock or rotating disc.
One of the reasons why many still consider the 5 lever mortice lock a highly secure option is the simplicity of its design. Featuring five parallel levers that all need to be lined up by turning the key to allow the bolt stop to come across, it's an exceptionally difficult lock to pick.

Deadbolt door locks are the most secure type of key lock and are commonly used on exterior house doors. Single and double cylinder locks are classified by strength from Grade 1 to Grade 3. Grade 1 is the highest and provides the best security.
Master Keys Set. Occasionally, someone will want the locks they use in their institution, organization etc. to have “mastered” locks. This means that although all the individual locks have individual keys, there's also a “master” key that will open them all.
Louis Vuitton Locks
In an era where travelers transported all of their personal items in wardrobes and trunks that would attract thieves, Louis Vuitton created the only lock that was unpickable. The locks used a patented multi-pin locking mechanism and are still used today on trunks and bags.
A correctly applied snap gun can open a lock very quickly compared to traditional lock picking, but the sharp impact is more likely to damage the lock mechanism than raking, which mimics normal key movements.
The shackle of this D lock uses 18mm of Max-Performance Hardened Steel to protect your bike. Making this yet another lock that's uncuttable with bolt cutters and virtually unbreakable with any hand-powered tool. Can a bolt cutter cut a Master Lock? You can not cut a Master lock using a bolt cutter. Since Master locks are made of hardened steel, using a standard cutter will be insufficient for this task. If there's a shackle, you can use the bolt cutter to get to the Master lock.

Essentially, high-security locks provide additional resistance to manipulation, destructive attacks, breaching and off-site key duplication.
The reason the New York Standard D lock only received a 9/10 security rating from Kryptonite is likely due to the shackle. This D lock has a 16mm hardened Max-Performance steel shackle, which resists cutting from both hand-powered and electric tools.
Steel is the most common material used for high-security padlocks, especially when subjected to such treatments as case-hardening or hardening. Brass, zinc alloy, stainless steel and aluminium padlocks are used for products with an intermediate level of security. – The size of the padlock.
The Romans were the first people to come up with the concept of padlocks around 500 BC. They created iron locks with metal bolts that held them closed. Keys were required to open these locks. Basic keys were created by bending metal at 90 degrees, and while this wasn't high-tech, it worked efficiently.
Some pin-tumbler locks have modified pins that make picking more difficult. In the most common variation, the upper pins have a mushroom-shaped head. This odd shape causes the plug to shift early, before you have actually pushed the top pin all the way up. This makes it more difficult to put the pins in position.
While lock picking is relatively gentle, it can still be rough enough to push the springs past their limits causing them to deform or even break.
