Limitations in Design and Customizations

Typically, you will need 300mm (205mm for a compact door) of headroom for an insulated roller garage door and 450mm for a single skin steel shutter or door.
A good quality roller garage door should last between 12 and 20 years if looked after well, maybe longer. The size, number of operations per day and exposure to harsh wind or prevailing weather will all affect the longevity.
A basic, single-skinned roller garage door is likely to be in the same price region as an up and over garage door. However, for an additional fee, they are also available double-skinned or with automation.
