Delicates need to be washed on a special wash program. The term "easy care" is somewhat misleading as it does not refer to materials that are hard-wearing. Easy care laundry needs to be gently washed to help stop creasing or the items of clothes becoming misshapen.
The easy care programme is designed to wash most items you have that aren't made from cotton and don't require ironing after washing. This includes materials such as polyester, blended and coloured fabrics or viscose.
More agitation (e.g. cotton cycles) = better cleaning and stain removal, but less fabric care. Less agitation (e.g. delicates) = better fabric care, but less cleaning and stain removal power.
Generally, cold wash cycles are fine for all clothes including delicates and colored clothing. Warm water should be used for clothes that are more soiled and for whites, and hot water for very soiled clothing or items that need to be kept clean, like underwear and towels.

The delicate cycle is where the silk and cashmere items come in. It is suitable for lightweight fabrics like wool, sheer nylon, lingerie, hosiery, and other delicate materials. Your washing machine will use warm or cold water and low-to-no spin for these fabrics.
Generally, warm or hot water is recommended for washing towels. Use a cycle specifically for towels or a normal/regular cycle. A sanitizing cycle can also be used, but may not be recommended for every wash, depending on the towel fabric.

Cotton Normal/Uniform is perfect for everyday cotton garments like shirts, pants, towels, and bed linen. Synthetic/Daily program is ideal for synthetic daily wear. Mixed Soiled+ caters to various cotton, synthetic, or easy-care garments, excluding delicate or special fabrics. Cradle Wash is for your delicate clothes.
It's recommended to use the delicate wash cycle on your appliance when cleaning these and other items such as undergarments and delicate fabrics like lace and rayon. Use the normal wash cycle when cleaning moderately soiled cottons, linens and other mixed fabrics.
Bed sheets should be washed in the warmest water appropriate for the fabric, using a sheets cycle or the cycle recommended in your washer's use and care guide. If there isn't a cycle specified, a normal or regular cycle will usually suffice for cotton, polyester or linen sheets.
Air drying is only to reduce the moisture content of laundry . Unlike heater dryers, they cannot completely dry your clothes . However, by letting the wind evaporate the water contained in the clothes, you can reduce the time it takes to dry the laundry compared to when you spin the clothes and dry them immediately.
