Pros use a lambswool tool that they rub across the glass. This tool is soaked in the water solution, and the sweeping motion the pros use gets the dirt off the glass. The brass squeegee you see the pros use is not a magic tool that's cleaning the glass. It's just removing the left-behind water.
Professional window cleaners often use dish soaps like Dawn or Joy to help their window cleaning squeegees glide. However, dish soaps are degreasers made up of almost 100% surfactants, so they have a lot of suds.
To clean multi-pane windows, move your squeegee from left to right and then top to bottom on each pane. To make sure you get every piece of dirt, use a bristle brush to clean in the corners and along the edges. For a single-pane window, guide the squeegee from top left downward, moving in a backward “S” pattern.
Use Dawn Dishwashing Soap
This calls for a little extra oomph to get the windows clean. In these instances, you will get shinier windows by washing them first. Fill a bucket with warm water and add just a few drops of dish soap — blue Dawn is highly recommended. Use a non-scratch scouring sponge to soap up the glass.

Dawn has long been used in window-cleaning solutions, often combined with the power of vinegar. Using Dawn Powerwash is quicker and easier than mixing up a DIY cleaner and allows the foamy suds to have longer contact with the glass.
Another method is to add three drops of Dawn into 1 gallon of water and fill up the spray bottle. You can spritz the cleaner onto your windows and then wipe it off.
The best way to clean glass windows or tabletops is by using either a coffee filter or a microfiber cloth. In the end, using microfiber cloths or coffee filters is a bit easier and yields more or less the same streak-free shine a properly wielded squeegee would.
Apply a drop of distilled white vinegar to the cloudy glass and rub a small area with a microfiber cloth. If the area is clear when the glass is dry, you will be able to clean away the cloudiness. If it is still cloudy, the glass is permanently etched.
You can also make an all-natural window cleaning solution using a mixture of equal parts white vinegar and hot water. Adding a touch of liquid soap to the vinegar solution will help remove any streak-causing wax left on the window from commercial cleaners used in the past.
Window Cleaner
Fill a spray bottle (we love this one) with water and a drop of dawn. Use this mixture just like you would Windex or any other window cleaner!
Combine water, white vinegar and dish detergent in a bucket. Increase amounts as needed. Using a soft bristle scrub brush on an extension pole handle thingy, dip the brush in a bucket of the solution, and scrub it on the window. Before it has a chance to dry, spray/rinse it off with clean water.
The main difference between the Powerwash spray and regular Dawn dish soap is that you have to combine dish soap with water (either in your sink or via a wet sponge) in order for it to work properly. On the other hand, Powerwash starts working as soon as you spray it onto your dish.
Dawn Powerwash is almost the same as regular Dawn, but it also has rubbing alcohol. This helps it remove more stains. It also spray in a foam, so it's easy to dispense and small amount.
It's basically an improved version of a basic soap dish bottle, with a trigger designed to provide a continuous spray of concentrated soap, instead of pumping out a few drops to make suds on a sponge or in the sink. The combination of trusted Dawn dish soap and the powerful spray is a lethal cleaning combination.
Start by rinsing the windows with the hose, then fill a bucket with clean, cool water and add a few drops of liquid dish soap. Using a soft microfiber cloth, go over the surface of the window. For higher windows, use a sponge mop (or a soft cotton or microfiber mop) on a pole. Rinse thoroughly with the hose.
Generally, window cleaning should be done at minimum once or twice per year, plus on an as-needed basis, including at least one cleaning of any window screens.

The plastic and glass surfaces on most small kitchen appliances, such as blenders, coffee makers, and toasters, are safe to clean with vinegar, but you want to avoid any rubber parts or metal that vinegar can corrode. This includes stainless steel.
In a spray bottle, mix 50% distilled vinegar (white) and 50% tap water. For extremely grimy glass, prewash with very soapy water, then go to the vinegar spray. Got highly resistent spots? Try rubbing hard with a cloth dipped in undiluted vinegar.
