Even if you need to erase a larger area, you are better off using several small pieces of tape. You can use masking tape or clear tape.
We evaluated the effectiveness of bread for erasing charcoal and graphite from smooth bond paper. Bread proved to be good for removing graphite, but in our tests, it was less effective at removing charcoal. While we were unable to achieve full erasure to white paper, a fair amount of drawing medium was removed.

Vinegar and Baking Soda Combination:
For tougher stains, you can create a cleaning solution by mixing equal parts water and white vinegar in a spray bottle. Sprinkle baking soda on the surface you want to clean, then spray the vinegar solution. This creates a fizzing reaction that can help lift stains.
NATURAL ERASERS, RUBBER
It's a soft, natural eraser made from natural rubber and erases color or graphite pencils.
A fine pumice powder made of about 75% silicon dioxide and 25% aluminum oxide is added to the rubber. This also serves as an abrasive. Basically, this is the stuff that is used on sandpaper but is ground extremely fine for inclusion in erasers.
Erasing pencil marks without an eraser can be challenging but not impossible. Try using the edge of another piece of paper or a clean, dry cloth to gently rub away the marks. You can also dab the marks with a small amount of rubbing alcohol on a cotton swab for more stubborn stains.

The colored pencil marks underneath will stick to the tape and lift off. This technique can be a bit tricky because you need to be careful that the tape doesn't also lift off pieces of the actual paper. It can take some practice to find just the right touch.
When you rub an eraser across a pencil mark, the abrasives in the eraser gently scratch the surface fibers of the paper to loosen the graphite particles. The softeners in the eraser help to prevent the paper from tearing. The sticky rubber in the eraser grabs and holds on to the graphite particles.
Zoom into the center, then double-tap your eraser to access its brush properties and change the size of the eraser. Now, erase the area. Once it's erased, you can continue.
