At night, without the privacy liner, you can see right through the blind…. almost perfectly. You definitely wouldn't want to attach a bamboo blind without a privacy liner in your bedroom or bathroom.
If you don't want a liner, bamboo shades still offer great privacy. Light tones won't be totally private — you can still see silhouettes through them in certain light — but they're thick enough to be indistinguishable.
