In the world, some 900 thousand different kinds of living insects are known.
Rodents and Termites are the worst pests that destroy the everything slowly and slowly. They are very hard to eliminate from the house once they entered. They create mesh everywhere. So I always do different things and many chemicals to get rid from these two pests.
Termites. It should come as no surprise that termites are at the top of our list. Termites have a bad reputation for a reason: They're one of the most destructive pests you can have in your home. Termites make their way into the structure of your home and feast on the wood inside.
The Lord Howe Island Phasmid or Land Lobster, Dryococelus australis, may be the rarest insect in the world and is possibly also the rarest invertebrate.
Scholars have long recognised that the survival value of pain means many animals experience it, supposedly with the exception of insects. But we surveyed more than 300 scientific studies and found evidence that at least some insects feel pain.
Pay attention to details
Features such as the colors of the pest, the shape of its wings, shape and color of the eggs, specific features (spots, dots, lines) on the body of the pest etc. – these can all help you identify the pest correctly and even distinguish between different species.
Get rid of things like stacks of newspapers, magazines, or cardboard. Close off places where pests can enter and hide. For example, caulk cracks and crevices around cabinets or baseboards. Use steel wool to fill spaces around pipes.
Regular pest: Frequently occurs on crop - Close association e.g. Rice slem borer, Brinjal fruit borer. Occasional pest: Infrequently occurs, no close association e.g. Caseworm on rice, Mango stem borer. Seasonal pest: Occurs during a particular season every year e.g. Red hairy caterpillar.
Integrated Pest Management. Integrated Pest Management (IPM) is a science-based decision-making process that combines tools and strategies to identify and manage pests.
There are four main categories of pests—vertebrate pests, invertebrate pests, weeds, and diseases. Integrated pest management is a strategy used to control pests by identifying the pest, monitoring its activity, choosing control methods, and evaluating the results.
Here we go: Termites cause over $5 billion of damage to property in the U.S. each year, according to the National Pest Management Association. And damage by termites is typically not covered by homeowner's insurance.
Plants do not feel pain because they don't have a brain for any signals to be sent to. Imagine if a human didn't have a brain; they could get cut, but they wouldn't know and there wouldn't be anything to tell that they are in pain...so technically they would not be in pain. Same for plants.
Insects and Other Animals Have Consciousness, Experts Declare. A group of prominent biologists and philosophers announced a new consensus: There's “a realistic possibility” that insects, octopuses, crustaceans, fish and other overlooked animals experience consciousness. What's going on in the mind of a bee?
Bullet ant
Last but not least, we have the most painful sting of all — the bullet ant sting. Schmidt describes the pain as “pure, intense, brilliant pain. Like walking over flaming charcoal with a three-inch nail embedded in your heel” and rates it as a 4.0+…off-the-charts pain that lasts up to 24 hours.
1) Mosquito's: Itchy bites, annoying buzzing sounds, and they carry diseases. 2) Fleas: Tough to handle infestations, itchy bites on pets and people. 3) Midge/Sand Fly: Painful bites, and they attack in groups. 4) Common House Flies: Hang around our food, loud buzzing, nasty habits, and they carry disease.
The diamondback moth (Plutella xylostella), which can be blown long distances on the wind, is considered to be a super-pest because it is resistant to most insecticides, and the centimetre-long caterpillars can cause losses to growers.
Peppermint Oil
People will use it to treat everything from skin problems to depression. Peppermint oil can also be extremely useful in pest control, especially at keeping mosquitoes away. Most pests cannot stand the smell of peppermint oil, even though a lot of humans love it. It's also toxic to many insects.
They enter houses either by accident or when seeking shelter, especially in the fall or during periods of prolonged dry weather. Earwigs inside the house do not cause any harm or destruction. They are an annoyance or nuisance because of their presence. If disturbed, earwigs may produce a noticeable foul odor.
Wash sheets, pillow cases, blankets and bed skirts and put them in a hot dryer for at least 30 minutes. Consider using mattress and box spring covers –the kind used for dust mite control–and put duct tape over the zippers. Seal cracks and crevices and any openings where pipes or wires come into the home.
