Simply glue and close new gaps the same way. If you're putting down a new click laminate floor that does not click together on the ends, then it makes sense to apply a small blob of glue to the tongue on the end of the board after clicking but before bringing the ends together.

Plug in a hair dryer and switch it to the medium setting. Using a steady back-and-forth motion, warm the damaged area until the flooring feels pliable. Next, gently stretch both sides of the tear inward to close the gap. After that, apply acrylic cement beneath both sections of the torn flooring.

You will have a perfect matched cut. Get some vinyl spray adhesive and spray a band on both sides of the join and press firmly together.
Always use a PVA Type II Glue when gluing laminate flooring planks. Choose one in a bottle so you can regulate the amount of glue that comes out; you'll need very little glue to complete the job. You can also use silicone caulk in the expansion gaps to prevent any moisture from leaking underneath the planks.
Click flooring will be more comfortable, due to the extra thickness and underlay. However, gluedown is less likely to move and feel the effects of increased foot traffic if it's firmly attached to the subfloor. For this reason, we'd recommend using gluedown LVT in these areas that see heavy footfall.
