A gas detection unit provides you with peace of mind and real-time 24/7 monitoring. They are available as handheld portable gas detectors or can be fixed or mounted to walls and ceilings.
The HOME-FLEX Electronic leak detector is designed to detect even small gas leaks. Built-in microprocessor easily detects natural, liquid propane, butane and methane gases.
ToxiRAE Pro Training App
The ToxiRAE Pro can detect a broad range of gases—from carbon monoxide, hydrogen sulfide, and oxygen to ammonia, chlorine, and phosgene.
Apple has been granted a patent to integrate gas sensors on its devices. The patent talks about gas sensors being integrated on iPhones and Apple Watches. These sensors will be able to detect toxic gases such as carbon monoxide and methane.

Use a Gas Leak Detector
These devices are specifically designed to detect the presence of natural gas or propane in a given area. They can be handheld or mounted in a fixed location. They will typically emit an audible alarm when a leak is detected.
Gas Leak Detectors
Gas detectors are Ideal for locating the source of a leak with certain models able to trace leaks where pipework is not visible or enclosed. The level of gas leak detector will depend on the features required such as alert types, sensor and calibration requirements.
Rotten Egg Odors
Natural gas and propane have a distinctive smell for a reason. For safety purposes, utility companies use an additive called mercaptan that gives colorless and odorless gases a smell that is hard to miss. Most people describe this smell as something like rotten eggs, sewage, or sulfur.
We locate gas leaks by inducing helium into the gas lines and using a sensitive helium “sniffer” to identify where walls may need to be opened if the leak is not found at any exposed section of pipe. This could result in property damage, serious injuries, or death.
Catalytic Diffusion Sensor
Catalytic diffusion sensors are the most widely used devices for the detection of combustible gases and vapors. These sensors start with wire being wound into coils.
Some manufacturers recommend placing the detectors 6 inches away from the ceiling and 10 feet away from the gas appliance.
A gas dial meter has 4 or more dials. Each one turns to point to a number between 0 and 9. Each dial on your meter will turn in the opposite direction to the ones next to it.
