You can manually remove excess standing water by removing the bottom rack and placing absorbent towels on the bottom of your dishwasher to soak up the remaining water. If your dishwasher has standing water due to an interrupted wash cycle, simply run another cycle without interruption.

Typically the drain valve is located in close proximity to the unit's motor. It can be found elsewhere, though most times it is found close to the motor.
About five seconds after you start running a dishwasher cycle, the drain pump will start making a low humming noise. This will be due to a piece of glass blocking the impeller from turning, resulting in the dishwasher pump not working properly. When this happens, you'll need to remove the blockage.
Check the Drain Pump for Blockages
When your drain pump is properly functioning, it should prevent water from standing at the bottom of the dishwasher, but if it's obstructed or blocked in some way, it won't work correctly.
Before the cycle is complete, the dishwasher drains the soap, water, and any bits of food small enough to pass through the filter.

Some water (standing water), usually one to two cups, remaining in the bottom of the Dishwasher tub is normal. If dirty water is building up over time in the bottom of the Dishwasher and your installation does not have an air gap, make sure you have a high drain loop.
Remove any standing water
Place cloth or paper towels around the base of the dishwasher to prevent water from leaking onto the floor. Next, remove any excess water from the interior of the dishwasher with a cup, and then soak up the remaining water with towels to make the drain accessible.
Some models require you to shut off the power to the dishwasher either by unplugging it or shutting off the circuit breaker. Others are reset by pressing and holding the Start/Reset button on the control panel, then waiting a few moments before attempting to start a wash cycle.
There could be a few reasons why your dishwasher won't fill with water. It could be an improperly positioned drain hose, a door that's not fully closed, a water supply that's turned off or an overfill protection float that's got something stuck in it.
Hold down the “cancel” button for about three seconds, or the time your model's instructions indicate. The water should then drain after it stops. If standing water remains in the dishwasher after the second cycle, you should take a closer look.

You can dissolve food and grease residues with bicarbonate soda. Sprinkle the soda in the blocked drain of the dishwasher. Pour a litre of hot boiling water and leave the bicarb to work for 30 minutes. Rinse with hot water and check that the dishwasher drains again.
The motor drives an impeller to force water out of the drain hose. If the motor runs during the drain cycle, check for a blockage in the drain line. If the motor won't run during the drain cycle or if it just hums when it should be running, the pump and motor assembly might need to be replaced.
