A: These machines look identical except for the brand name embossed on the waffle grid covers. Cuisinart and Waring are both owned by Conair and it is interesting to note that the Waring model seems to have been discontinued; guessing this is the replacement.

Cuisinart 77-17N - is set 18/10? The Cuisinart Chef's Classic Stainless Steel cookware is sold by many retailers but I only found 4 stores that described it as being 18/10 stainless-steel construction or mirror-polished 18/10 stainless steel.
A: Cuisinart FPs haven't been made in France for decades. (I have one, bought in the US, but it dates back to the early 80s). Production was first shifted to Japan from France, but they've been made in China for quite some time now. Thank you for your feedback!
