Turn The Ice Maker Off and On Again
This is a simple matter of resetting the power to your ice maker. By flipping the switch off and back on, you may be able to reset the functionality so that your ice maker begins to dispense ice again.

One of the most common reasons for a GE ice maker not working is an improper freezer temperature. Ideally, your freezer should be set between 0°F and 5°F (-18°C and -15°C) for optimal ice production. If the temperature is too high, the ice maker may not be able to produce ice.
An ice maker freeze up happens when too much water is spread in and around your ice maker and freezes, resulting in damage to vital components.
Your freezer temperature could be too high, the water inlet valve may not be functioning correctly, your home water pressure may be low, the refrigerator's water filter may be clogged, or the ice maker may need to be replaced.
If you don't hear a chime, but you can see movement from the ice maker, then the ice maker was reset. If you don't hear a chime and there is no movement from the ice maker, unplug the fridge or turn it off at the circuit breaker for 2 minutes. Then, power it back up and try again.
Common reasons for ice maker issues include a jammed dispenser or ice maker, clogged water filter or water line, or a faulty water inlet valve.

To reach it, remove the front of the dispenser and find the control board in the upper right corner of the machine. Unscrew the top cover of the board and find the reset button located toward the front.
There are several reasons your ice maker may suddenly stop working, including a blocked water dispenser, issues with your water supply line or a clogged water filter.
Use a soft cloth and some warm soapy water, or two tablespoons of baking soda dissolved into a gallon of warm water. Once you've cleaned the interior surfaces, use a soft, damp cloth to rinse. Lastly, wipe down the interior with a soft, dry towel. Replace removed interior parts once they are completely dry.
To turn the ice maker "On", lift open the ice maker door and lower the wire shutoff arm. To manually turn "Off" the ice maker, lift the wire shutoff arm.
This will be located at the bottom of the ice maker unit in most models, but in some, it is at the bottom of the ice tray itself. Press the button down until you hear a beep sound. It will require a few seconds of holding it down before it beeps. Your refrigerator ice maker is now reset!
Reset your refrigerator: First, unplug it (or turn off the power at the circuit breaker), and then wait about five minutes for the electrical charge to clear out of it. Then, power it back on again.

Disconnect your fridge from its power source by removing the power cord from the wall outlet. You may hear some whooshing or knocking noises after you do so; that's normal. Make sure your fridge stays unplugged for several minutes, otherwise the reset won't work.
Be patient because it will take another 3-4 hours before your ice maker is full of ice again. If your ice maker still does not work after following these instructions, then it may have a mechanical problem. This will most likely require a new ice maker to be installed.
If your ice maker isn't producing ice at all or is producing crescents or cubes that are smaller than usual, it's typically indicative of a clog somewhere along the supply line. Cause: A common cause for a clog is frozen water in the line.
Some models are equipped with Quick Freeze feature – just press Quick Freeze on your display to temporarily increase the ice production rate. If your refrigerator is not properly making ice, the freezer temperature could be set too warm. Set the freezer control to a colder setting to improve ice production.
Icemaker Reset Procedure
Push in on the paddle 3 times and only 3 times within 15 seconds of powering the icemaker back on. The icemaker should enter the harvest state within 3 minutes.
Check the ice maker, check if the direct water supply inlet is frozen, then defrost it with hot water by pouring directly through the pipeline. Use a small funnel and hot water to thaw a frozen inlet tube, or remove the tube and thaw in a sink.
Allow to Defrost: Leave the ice maker and the freezer compartment open to allow them to thaw naturally. This might take some time depending on the extent of the ice buildup. Clean the Ice Maker: Once the ice maker has thawed completely, you can clean it more thoroughly.
