First, pour water into the pan to cover the base of the pan up to about an inch high - put one tablespoon of baking soda per 2 cups of water. Bring to a boil and let boil for 5 minutes. Turn off heat and let stand 30 minutes. Clean pans.
Cleaning methods
Pour some water in the bottom of the saucepan (200 ml), add some detergent (1 tbsp or what you would normally put in your washing machine) and turn on the cooker. Bring the mixture to the boil and let it boil for approx. 10 minutes. Then clean the pan with normal water and washing-up detergent.
Built To Last A Lifetime
Our nonstick does not peel or flake and will retain its nonstick properties for years and years with proper care. We back these claims with a lifetime warranty against manufacturer's defects, guaranteeing that if your pan ever peels, flakes, or cracks, we'll replace it at no cost.
Burn marks due to overheating or charring of fatty substances can be removed by filling the product ¾ with water, bring to a slow boil using medium heat, add a tablespoon of detergent (for dishwasher or washing machine, not for handwash), simmer for 15 minutes, and rinse. Then clean the product as usual.
Simply rub off as much as possible with a rough sponge, wash off in hot water and let it dry completely. Then add oil to the pan and season until it starts to smoke. Wipe off the excess oil after cooling down to create a new natural nonstick surface. Your pan is as good as new again.
In almost all cases, sticking is due to stubborn food and oil residue. Try cleaning them with a baking soda solution. First, pour water into the pan to cover the base of the pan up to about an inch high - put one tablespoon of baking soda per 2 cups of water. Bring to a boil and let boil for 5 minutes.
Gordon Ramsay, known for his high standards in the kitchen, is associated with both HexClad and ScanPan cookware.
Method 1: Baking soda + vinegar
Benefits: This method uses affordable pantry items most people have on hand. How it works: Fill your dirty pan with equal parts water and vinegar. Bring the mixture to a boil, then add 2 tablespoons of baking soda. Remove from heat and let soak for up to 15 minutes.
If you want to fry in oil, we recommend using olive or rapeseed oil. These oils have a high content of unsaturated fats, making them particularly suitable for frying because they don't burn on the surface. Heat the pan on a low heat, as this will better retain the coating's nonstick effect.
SCANPAN was the first cookware manufacturer of to produce environmentally friendly products to the market. Our products are made from recycled aluminum in Ryomgård, Denmark, under the strictest environmental standards.
Although non-stick pans are dishwasher-safe, the combination of high heat and detergent can degrade the coating. Let the pan cool down before hand washing to avoid thermal shock that can potentially warp the pan and damage the non-stick surface. Never preheat the pan empty. Start on a low setting with some cooking oil.
SCANPAN CTX collection is top of the class with its multiple layers, non-stick technology, and elegant appearance with induction capability. CTX has a 3 ply/5 layer construction with stainless steel and pure aluminium at its core.
Scanpan's nonstick products contain PTFE which is included in the large group of PFAS substances. In cookware, these substances lend durability and superior nonstick properties and are completely bound in the hardened coating, so they will not transfer to food or the environment during use.
Luckily, a homemade cleaning solution of vinegar and water is a simple and affordable solution to remove stubborn oil and food buildup, putting the essential “non” back in your non-stick pans. All you need is vinegar, water, baking soda, and fifteen minutes to spare.
Mixing vinegar and baking soda causes an immediate chemical reaction. This reaction forms water, sodium acetate (a salt) and carbon dioxide – the fizzy part. The amount of carbon dioxide gas that is produced from baking soda is remarkable – one tablespoon (around 18 grams) can release over five litres of gas!
The nonstick coating turning brown is a sign that you've used too high heat. Once you've scorched the coating the pan is toast. Some nonstick coatings even bubble and peel off if heated too much, but then you pretty much have to forget it on the heat.
Allow the cookware to cool. Partially fill with cold water and detergent or vinegar(ratio 3:1), place on cooktop and bring to a boil over medium heat until food particles loosen. Let cookware cool down again, rinse out the particles, then clean as per the routine instructions.
Scanpan offers a lifetime guarantee for all their cookware products with normal use and proper care.
SCANPAN cookware is dishwasher safe – there will be no disasters if it sneaks in there every now and again. However, it's well documented that over time you will dry your non-stick out if you place it in the dishwasher everyday, so we recommend hand-washing where possible.

Great pots and pans
I've had my scanpan pots and frying pans for a few years now and have had no issues with the quality or use of the commercial or impact range. My only issue is the handles filling up with water when used in the dishwasher. It's annoying so go the solid handles not the hollow tube type.
