How long does a SimpliSafe battery last? A SimpliSafe camera battery should last anywhere from 3-6 months. Sensors can last years. Systems vary based on usage, but it notifies you when any battery needs to be replaced.
Long-lasting battery
Lasts up to 3 to 6 months depending on settings, location and usage and recharges in about five hours.
The Smoke & CO Detector takes two CR-123A Lithium 3V batteries and has a life expectancy of up to 2 years, depending on placement and usage.

You will likely never need to replace your Base Station's batteries as they are rechargeable and meant to last. The batteries in the Base Station are Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) rechargeable batteries.
The Keypad takes four (4) AA batteries and they are expected to last 8-12 months, depending on your usage and placement. If you find that your batteries are not lasting nearly as long as that, there are a few steps you can take to optimize your Keypad's performance.

The beeping sound may occur due to the unstable electric current. Please change a new charging cable and a new power adapter to have a try. If it doesn't work, please restart the base station by unplugging its cable.
If you instead enable Away mode, your motion sensor and camera will be activated. This is less than ideal for use at night, as it could cause your alarms to trip if anyone in your family gets out of bed and ventures downstairs or into the path of a sensor.
Maintain your alarms
If your alarms use regular batteries, swap in fresh batteries at least once a year. A “chirping” sound means that it's time to change batteries. Because alarm sensors wear out, replace each alarm at least every 10 years.
The SimpliSafe Smoke & CO Detector offers customers 2 in 1 protection against smoke and CO that can be professionally monitored. Smoke and CO detectors work together to detect fires and the colorless, odorless and tasteless CO gas.
