To shower every day, you have to work to help maintain the prison or its industries. Yet every day, most prisoners run up and down basketball courts, jog around the track, slide into home plate, or participate in other activities in the prison yard.
Communal showers are a group of single showers put together in one room or area. They are often used in changerooms, schools, prisons, and barracks for personal hygiene.

Chow Time: Breakfast rolls out between 6:30 and 7:30 AM. Inmates shuffle into the chow hall, cafeteria-style, grabbing whatever's on the menu that day. Don't expect a gourmet meal—it's basic, but it gets the job done. Once they've fueled up, it's back to the units to gear up for the day's grind.
First night in custody
After all procedures at reception are completed, the prisoner may be offered a bath or shower and will then be taken to the cell in which they will spend their first night. Some prisons have a dedicated 'first night' block which houses all new prisoners.
Despite these exceptions, incarcerated individuals typically maintain the right to own and control their property, subject to any restrictions imposed by the facility in which they are held. For example, they may retain the rights to real estate, bank accounts, personal belongings, and other assets.
1) MAKE YOUR SLEEPING AREA AS COMFORTABLE AS POSSIBLE
Buy earplugs, a small fan, or a radio with headphones and use them to block out external noises. Also, make sure your body isn't too warm or cold. Get creative with your blankets and pillows.
For most people, this means temporarily giving all of your assets to a family member or close friend. Unfortunately, they are not legally required to return the assets when you are released unless you create a binding legal agreement first. Alternatively, you can give someone legal authority to act on your behalf.
If the sentence includes a period of imprisonment, the defendants are typically taken into custody right after the sentencing to await transportation to a correctional facility. In this case, they would go directly to jail.
