Oven cleaners are typically sprayed onto the oven surfaces and allowed to sit with the oven door closed for a specified period of time, often between 10 minutes and 2 hours. The solution is designed to degrade baked-on food and grease and then thicken it so that it can be more easily wiped away.
Chemical cleaners attack tough-to-remove dirt, so wear rubber or nitrile gloves and a mask to avoid breathing in the fumes. If you're wondering if it's safe to cook in an oven after cleaning with it, it's best to leave the oven at a high heat for around 20 minutes before you use it.
After cleaning an oven, it's generally recommended to wait at least 30 minutes to 1 hour before using it again. This allows any cleaning residues or fumes to dissipate. If you used a self-cleaning feature, it's best to wait until the oven has cooled down completely, which can take several hours.

Heating Cycle: To eliminate any residual fumes, turn on the oven to a moderate temperature (around 200°C or 400°F) for 15-30 minutes. Then, let it cool down. Total Wait Time: You should wait at least 1-2 hours after using chemical cleaners to ensure all fumes have dissipated and residues have burned off.
The vinegar will cause the baking soda to foam and dissolve the grime. Spray thick or stubborn stains especially well. Let the baking soda and vinegar foam sit in your oven or on stubborn spots for at least 12 hours before you wipe your oven out with a clean cloth and clear water. Overnight is best.
Avalanche is used by professionals as deep clean industrial oven cleaner. Avalanche is safe to use on most-surfaces, however because of its caustic nature we that it should not be left on aluminium or stainless steel surfaces for more than a few minutes to avoid marking.
Remove Baked-on Grease with Vinegar and Baking Soda
Baking soda is effective for oven cleaning and helps eliminate odours. The acidity of vinegar also helps break down baked-on grease and debris. To remove baked-on grime, mix two parts baking soda to one part water.
For spot cleaning: spray in cold oven from a 9-12 inches distance; allow to stand for 30 sec; wipe clean with a wet sponge, cloth or paper towel. For deep cleaning: spray in cold oven from a 9-12 inches distance; close door and wait for 2 hours; wipe clean with a wet sponge, cloth or paper towel.
Sprinkle baking soda over them and spray with vinegar. Wait for the foaming reaction and then soak in hot water for a few hours. This will loosen any grease and grime which you can then scrub off more easily. Put the oven racks back in your sparkling clean oven and sit back with a much-deserved cuppa and a cake!
Don't use any other cleaning solutions at the same time you use Easy-Off oven cleaner. You may need to rinse out the sponge or cloth frequently until all the cleaner has been removed.
MYTH #1: SELF-CLEANING OVENS ARE HEALTH HAZARDS.
The fumes coming out of a self-cleaning oven are harmful only to tropical birds. If you have a tropical bird, have a friend babysit them at their house on the day you do a self-clean cycle. Otherwise, typical house pets and humans are safe.
To get the best results when using Oven Pride to clean your oven, we would recommend leaving the product to work for at least 4 hours. If it's convenient, leaving it overnight will give the best results when cleaning particularly dirty ovens and racks.
Most ovens will let you select how long to run the cycle, usually anywhere from two to six hours. Select more or less time depending on how dirty the oven is. Hand-cleaning the oven as spills happen will make cleaning up after a self-clean cycle easier. Heavy soil results in longer cleaning times and more smoke.
