I think I see rust in my bottle, how do I clean it? Stainless Steel is not rust proof, but it is rust resistant. If you see rust it can be removed by using a mixture of baking soda and vinegar on the rust spot, let it sit for 5-10 minutes, then scrub with a soft sponge or bottle brush.
All you need to do is put boiling water (straight out of the kettle just as its boiling is best) into the flask to make it really hot first. Empty it back out into the kettle, boil it again and make your soup with it. Just warm the metal up first.
