Now, we can completely bury a steel wall stealth semi in-ground pool for as low as $14,950. These are 14 gauge galvanized steel walls that will easily last 30 years or more. The Stealth pool will give the homeowner the flexibility to build their deck, have concrete poured, or a mix of both.
With proper maintenance, your semi-inground pool could last up to 20 years (by comparison, a typical above-ground pool typically lasts 7 to 15 years). Like the Stealth Pool, just as carried by Backyard Masters in Long Island, NY, they are constructed using chemical and UV-resistant steel.
Semi-inground pools offer the best of both worlds. You'll find that a semi-ground swimming pool is significantly deeper than a regular above-ground pool, but doesn't cost nearly as much as a traditional in-ground pool.
A high quality above ground will generally last 10-20 years. Those years aren't without added expense. Throughout the years, you can expect to replace the liner at least once or twice, while the frame should last the full 10-20 years.
The Stealth Pool is a high quality alternative to a high-priced Inground Pool. The Stealth Semi-Inground can be buried up to 3/4 in the ground to create a sleek design in your backyard.
Strong & Durable. Stealth Semi-In Ground Pools are made in the USA and constructed using chemical and UV-resistant steel They are impact-resistant, are able to withstand high pressure, and come with a limited lifetime warranty.
STANDARD SYLES SEMI-INGROUND
Like all our Semi-Inground pools this has a flat bottom, but you may option a deep end although you must also upgrade the liner to a 30G. All the standard styles come in 2 panel heights either 48” or 52”.
It generally takes between three and 12 weeks to install a concrete pool. That's longer than other types, but concrete is considered the strongest, most durable type of pool. And unlike other in-ground pools, existing concrete pools can be rebuilt, refinished, enlarged, or updated.
2018. A high-quality above ground pool from Valley Pool & Spa should last between 10 and 20 years depending on how well you care for it. However, your pool liner will not last as long as your pool. Contact a pool expert at our store to see if you need a new liner before you decide to replace your entire pool.
A well-maintained concrete pool should last around 50 years or more. And a well constructed in-ground concrete swimming pool should last a lifetime. But, a pool's liner or finish won't last long. And thus, an in-ground concrete pool will need to be resurfaced every 10 to 15 years.
The Partial In-Ground Option
Some pool installation professionals suggest putting an above-ground pool only halfway in the ground. Doing so reduces excavation costs and minimizes the risk of the pool collapsing inward if it needs to be drained.
And for this reason, many people ask, “Can above ground pools be partially buried?” in hopes of receiving the best of both worlds. The short answer is that “Yes, they can!” However, there are some things that should be taken into account if you're going to go down this route.
These pools are typically made with a steel or aluminum wall rather than the vinyl, concrete, or fiberglass material like semi inground pools.
Hybrid Pools
Hybrid above ground pools combine the advantages of a steel pool with a resin pool. The materials used, both resin and steel, allow you to benefit from the advantages of both types of pools in one and also provide durability and effectiveness over the years.
Use a thick liner. Maintain your pool by cleaning it once a week. Cover it during bad weather and use a high-quality filter to make your liner last as long as your pool structure. And most of all, enjoy your pool.
Generally, pool water needs to be replaced once every five to seven years. This should be done during mild weather so that your pool surface is not at risk from strong sunlight and heat. Your pool maintenance company can recommend when it is time to drain your pool.
The answer is always NO. Above ground pools need the weight of the water in them to provide an optimal level of stability. Without water supporting the wall you run the risk of the pool wall coming out of the track.
Fiberglass pools need the least maintenance, and they cost the least ($3,750 over 10 years).
A fiberglass pool is not prone to growing algae, which is one of the main reasons why this pool is easier to maintain. Anyone who is looking for a pool that doesn't require a lot of maintenance may want to consider going with a fiberglass pool.
Concrete pools tend to be the strongest of all the inground swimming pools. Since they are rebar and concrete they can't oxidize or corrode. Like every other form of concrete, they get stronger as time passes. They are at the upper echelon of price points and have a higher end product reputation.
Dependent upon pool shape and size, depth ranges available are from approximately a 36" shallow end to an 8' deep end. The pool wall, equipment and materials are like that of an inground pool but competitively priced like a higher end above ground pool.
Luckily, above ground pools can have both shallow and deep ends, just like an in-ground pool. Another pool option that is gaining popularity is the semi in-ground pool design. However, be sure you fully understand the costs of semi in-ground pools first.
Slides typically must be installed over a water depth of 36″ which drops to 42″ to 54″. Nearly all of our full-size pools have an option that meets these depth requirements.
Why Pool Liners Matter
Pool liners are critical because they form a barrier between the wall of the pool and the water inside of it. Many inground pools have tiled walls that eliminate the need for a liner.
