If you only have a small amount of residue to remove then you can soak the affected area in a standard cooking oil like vegetable, sunflower or olive oil. Simply let it soak into the glue residue for about an hour, before wiping it off. If the staining is heavier, then you might need to try acetone or rubbing alcohol.
Use a cotton ball soaked in pure acetone or nail varnish remover, and press it against the glue. Once it's dissolved, it should be easy to wipe away. Alternatively, try scraping away the glue. Use a putty knife or razor blade.
Soak the glue residue in rubbing alcohol, acetone, or vinegar. Leave it soaked for a few minutes then try scraping it off again. If the glue still proves too stubborn, try heating it up with a hair dryer. This should help loosen up the glue.
Goo Gone isn't all that strong, are you sure you're not thinking of Goof Off? Goo Gone is a fairly average citrus-based cleaner, where as Goof Off is based on acetone. It'll melt many paint and plastics on contact. Certainly has it's moments, though, and it's far stronger than Goo Gone.
Acetone is a solvent that breaks down super glue. So, try applying acetone or nail polish remover that contains acetone to the affected area. This should help dissolve the super glue. You should then be able to gently peel or roll the glue off.
Vinegar can also remove unwanted hardened glue from plastic. Soak the area using only white vinegar, then work the glue away with a credit card, spatula, or similar edge.
Acetone is a powerful and widely used solvent that is especially effective at removing strong adhesives such as super glue. It works great on hard, non-porous surfaces such as glass, metal, and certain types of plastic.
Apply Heat
Some stubborn adhesives melt or soften and become much easier to remove when heated. Heat the adhesive using a heat gun. If you do not have access to a heat gun, a hair dryer may work in a pinch. Once the surface is hot, try to gently scrape the adhesive away using a putty knife.

All you have to do is to take a bit of it and rub it on the plastic where glue is and then wipe it off using a cloth. Here's the science behind this, all lip balms and vaseline contains petroleum jelly which weaken the glue bonds hence remove it from the plastic surface.

Hydrogen peroxide is especially good on super glue, and it's a safe way to clean up most glue spills on metal. Soak a cotton ball with the hydrogen peroxide and press it onto the glue until it softens. Use fresh cotton balls as needed to blot up any glue residue.
WD-40 is a multi-use lubricant spray that can also be used for sticker residue removal. To apply, simply spray it over the affected area and leave for several minutes. The glue should then just wipe away!
Olive oil works well on these sticky encounters because it serves as a softener, loosening the stubborn glue from the sticker that doesn't want to be displaced.
Blot the glue with acetone or rubbing alcohol and let this substance break down the glue. Clear away with a damp cloth. For fabric: Use acetone, but test sparingly first to avoid potential damage. Once the adhesive bond has begun to break, apply a pretreatment stain remover deep into the glue.
