Prep Walls
Turn off the power to safely remove outlet covers and light switch plates in the area you plan to cover. Next, clean the painted wall's surface by wiping it down with a damp sponge or cloth and a mild, non-abrasive cleaner. Wait at least 24 hours to allow the surface to dry completely.
While it is not necessary to use a primer for your walls, we do recommend applying our wallpaper to a surface that has been primed and painted with a satin or semi-gloss finish.
Clean, smooth surfaces are the best. A peel and stick wallpaper will properly attach itself to your wall only if its surface is smooth and clean. Before proceeding with the installation, spend a few minutes getting rid of dust and dirt. Use a microfiber cloth dipped in isopropyl alcohol to wipe down the entire surface.
Plywood & Hardwood
The surfaces of raw plywood and hardboard are too porous for wallpaper to stick to them. But if you prime these two materials properly, any wallpaper material can be used. This gives you plenty of wallpaper on plywood options for garages, sheds, cabins and more.
Step 1: Priming the Paneling
Start by cleaning the panel walls, ensuring they're free from dirt, dust, and mold. Then focus on those grooves. If they're more than a quarter-inch deep, you've got to caulk them up. Once the caulk dries, apply a latex primer over the panels.

This may help with adhesion and will clean any dust or debris off your surface. For an easier install, remove switch plates and outlet covers prior to installation.
If they are flat wooden doors doors the answer is yes. But any shiny surfaces such as laminate, metal or glass are not porous and so when wallpaper paste is applied it does not have anything to adhere to and can't dry. Therefore the wallpaper will literally slide off the surface!
Wooden furniture you wish to cover with wallpaper should be varnished first. It's also a good idea to smooth out textured surfaces and thoroughly clean and dry surfaces before applying wallpaper in order to ensure a flawless finished product.

After some time a wallpaper will become more resistant to those changes but a newly installed wallpaper will for sure suffer.

Apply Remaining Strips
If you are having difficulty with an uneven corner, try cutting into the corner rather than wrapping from one wall to the next. Slightly overlapping lengths/strips by approximately 1/32in (0.5mm) is recommended.
