Vinegar & Water
Whether cleaning up urine from the carpet or the couch, the first step is to blot as much of it as possible using a paper towel or absorbent cloth. The easiest method to try is a vinegar and water mixture. Fill 1/3 of a spray bottle with white vinegar and the rest of the way with water.
Mix one part white vinegar with two parts water and a few tablespoons of baking soda in a bowl. Submerge the affected garment into the mixture, allowing it to soak for at least an hour. After soaking, remove it and wash it as usual.
Create a mixture of equal parts white vinegar and cold water in a bucket or sink. Submerge the garment in the solution and let it soak for about 15-30 minutes. Vinegar helps break down the uric acid crystals and remove the scent.
