If the display shows 'CL' or a lock icon, you can disable Child Lock in the same way it was enabled. To do this, press and hold the buttons marked with a lock icon or labeled [*Child Lock] for at least 3 seconds. 1. Models that have a lock symbol: Hold Temp + Rinse for 3 seconds.
The Control Lock is designed to prevent children from misusing the machine.
When the child lock is activated, there will be a key symbol in the display and all the washing machine buttons will be disabled. To deactivate the child lock, press and hold the start button for three to five seconds. After this time you will hear an audible beep and the key symbol will disappear.
Washer Control Reset
To reset the electronic controls on your washer, shut off the circuit breaker or fuse to the washer or unplug the washer for 2 minutes. For models that have a timer control knob, turn the knob around and back to any position other than final spin for the interrupted cycle. Then, restore power.
To remove a lock washer, use a wrench or a similar tool to remove the nut or threaded fastener that holds the lock washer in place. Next, use a flathead screwdriver to pry the lock washer loose. If you remove a split washer, place the screwdriver head under the washer or inside the split.
Normally waiting for the cycle to end is all you need to do to unlock the door, or turn your washer on if it's off. If you get stuck, though, you can drain the water from front load washers using the emergency drain hose; once the water is gone, the door will unlock.
How to open the washing machine door mid-cycle. If you've left something in the pocket of your jeans and would like to take it out, simply press the Start/Pause button, or turn the dial to the 'Off' position. This will make the washer drain the water, and after a few minutes, you'll be able to open the door easily.
If the cycle has finished and the door is still locked, it may be due to a power outage or a fault in the machine's electrical system. In this case, try unplugging the machine and waiting for a few minutes before plugging it back in.

Use a funnel to pour about a quarter of a cup of baking soda into the pipe. Next, empty a baster full of vinegar into the drain hose. Top tip: If the blockage is not completely gone, you can repeat the above process. Once you have cleared any debris from the hose, pour hot water in to flush everything out.
If the plug is difficult to reach, or is hard-wired to the power supply, shut it off at the breaker. 2. Wait for a minute: Wait for 1-5 minutes before plugging the washer back in to reset the internal systems. This allows any residual power to clear and can help reset the door lock mechanism.
Sometimes, when using the machine, people accidentally hit the control lock or delay start button. Try opening and closing the washing machine door, and then try another cycle. If that doesn't work, you may want to completely restart and reset the wash cycle.
Most washing machines use a thermal lock that releases the door two minutes after a cycle is complete. If your door handle is feeling stiff and won't move, the problem will be with the lock.
