To see your ADT smart
Most home security alarm systems don't just have an alarm - they also have a strobe light located at the front of the property. If an alarm has been triggered, the light will flash until the disarm/rearm code is entered into the keypad, even if the audible alarm has stopped.
The short answer is that when the ADT alarm goes off, the ADT monitoring station immediately contacts the home or business owner at 1-2 phone numbers and then notifies the authorities if they don't get an answer with the correct password on the account.
Your ADT Smart Home Hub has an LED light on the top of the unit that indicates status. This information relates to the status of your system. If one of your doors or windows is open, if a device has a low battery or if it has gone missing, you will see an indication on the ADT+ app as well as the hub.
To see your ADT smart home security system status, log into the ADT+ app or plus.adt.com. The System Status screen displays the current arming mode of your system.

To do this, do the following steps:

First, your home security company is instantly notified when the alarm is triggered and will immediately be contacting you to assess the situation. They will also notify the authorities. Second, you can call someone outside of your home in order to get help.

Red lights indicate warnings and trouble directly linked to your home alarm. Red lights often require professional assistance or a thorough understanding of how your security system is wired and what is required to restore the unit to its original functioning state.
The flashing red light on a motion detector indicates that the device is in its walk test mode. In this mode, a user can walk around the area and check to make sure that motion is being detected. If the device is not flashing red, then it is not detecting motion, and the position of the sensor will need to be adjusted.
There is a Reset button located behind the bottom panel of the ADT Base and a momentary press of this button will cause the ADT Base to reboot.
Remove the AC power to the home alarm console from the wall directly. Use your console's access key (or another item such as a small screw) to unlock and open the system's backing. Lastly, disconnect at least one of the wires that are attached to the system's main battery, which is blocky and noticeable in most units.
If you unplug you ADT or any other security system, it will most likely start beeping the keypad alerting you of the AC power loss. If you silence the keypad, usually by entering your code and leave the power disconnect, eventually the keypad will start beeping again alerting you to a low battery condition.
