Reset the Electronic Control
Turn the circuit breaker to the OFF position or remove the fuse. Wait one minute, then turn the circuit breaker back to the ON position or install the fuse to reset power to the appliance. This should reset the electronic controls on the Range or Wall Oven.
The possible reasons your oven is not working may include a broken baking or broiling element, a malfunctioning spark element (spark electrode), a broken igniter, a blown fuse, an issue with the control board, or outlets not providing enough power to the oven.
Power the appliance down by turning off the circuit breaker(s) or unplugging for one (1) minute. Power the appliance up by turning on the circuit breaker(s) or plugging back in. Verify the operation of the control panel/display.
If your washer is plugged into an outlet, simply unplug the unit for one minute and then plug the unit back in. If the washer is hard-wired to the power supply, turn the breaker off at the home electrical panel that powers the washer for one minute and then turn the breaker back on.
The most common reasons your Whirlpool oven display is not working are a defective electronic control board, defective control panel or a dead power supply.
If a recent power outage has occurred, turn off the household circuit breaker for the range for one (1) minute. Then, reset the circuit breaker and monitor the range for one (1) minute to ensure the error code does not display again.
Reset Digital Displays: If your stove has a digital display, there may be a specific combination of buttons to press to reset the stove or clear any error codes. Check Circuit Breakers: Sometimes, a power outage can trip a circuit breaker.
Remove the oven temperature knob and turn it over. It should have one or two screws on the back. If the oven is running cold, you will want to turn the screws counterclockwise, and if it is running hot, you will want to turn them clockwise. Turn them gradually, about an eighth of a turn each time.
One of the most common causes of an oven not working is that the bake or broil elements have burned out, which causes the oven not to heat. The bake element is located at the bottom of the oven, while the broil element is located at the top. Both elements should glow bright red when working correctly.
Locate the control panel: Depending on your model, the control panel may be on the top, front, or back of the washer. 4. Press and hold the "Cancel" or "Stop" button: Hold this button for about 3 seconds to initiate the reset process.
Check to make sure a household fuse has not blown or that a circuit breaker has tripped. Reset the circuit breaker or replace the fuse if necessary. If the problem continues, contact a licensed electrician.
