Keep in mind that while the Schlage Sense WiFi Adapter will work with a compatible iOS device, it does not work with Apple HomeKit® and is not compatible with features like Siri® or the Apple Home app.
Locate the HomeKit setup label on the inside of the interior portion of the lock or Quick Start Guide and scan the HomeKit QR code. Alternatively, you can manually enter the HomeKit setup code shown on the label. When prompted, select Add to Home.

To set up remote connectivity with Apple HomeKit using a compatible Apple TV, iPad or HomePod, open the Schlage Home app on your iOS device and choose “Continue with HomeKit.” Once you've chosen the “Continue with HomeKit” option, follow the instructions provided in the Schlage Home app.
Because the Schlage Connect is powered by Z-wave, you need to pair it with a smart home hub, like Wink, to extend communication with your home's wi-fi. This allows you to communicate with your lock via the Wink app when you are remote.

At CES, keeping-the-doors-closed giant Schlage introduced its Schlage Encode Plus Smart WiFi Deadbolt, which introduces the ability to open your doors at a touch of your phone or Apple Watch. The technology is built on Apple's recent Home Key innovations, introduced in iOS 15.
In order to use the Schlage Sense lock with Google Assistant-enabled devices, users must connect the deadbolt to the Schlage Sense Wi-Fi Adapter, sold separately. Follow the setup steps within the app to link your Schlage account with your Google Assistant account, then add the Schlage action.
Apple HomeKit
Make your Schlage Sense Smart Deadbolt accessible when you are away from home. Add an iPad or Apple TV® to your home WiFi network to lock and unlock your door from anywhere. Apple HomeKit* is compatible with Schlage Sense via: Apple TV.
Currently, Dropcam is not compatible with HomeKit and it is unlikely that support for it will ever come in the form of plugins from third-party developers like those at Homebridge or HOOBS, because of how few existing Dropcam units are out there.
To access your lock remotely from your phone or with voice commands, you'll need to sync it with a compatible smart home hub. The most common hubs for the Schlage Connect lock are Samsung SmartThings, Ring Alarm, Nexia and Wink.
Schlage Connect features
Unlike Schlage Sense which works with Siri, Connect is designed for control using Amazon Alexa. If you use Alexa to automate your home, this could be a great lock for you. HomeKit and Siri do not work with Schlage Connect.
The free Schlage Home app for Apple iOS and Android is your “remote control” if you have a Schlage Encode™ Smart WiFi Deadbolt or Schlage Sense™ Smart Deadbolt. If you have a Schlage Connect™ Smart Deadbolt, you will need to use one of our partners' apps like the Nexia or Samsung SmartThings app.
