Regular Fabuloso is an all-purpose cleaner and degreaser, not a disinfectant. To be classified as a disinfectant, a chemical must kill viruses and bacteria on surfaces, according to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). As a cleaner, Fabuloso removes dirt and grime, and with it microorganisms.
It is effective in killing 99.9% of bacteria and viruses*, without leaving any harsh chemical residue. Use for general disinfection, neat/undiluted or create your own diluted spray**. A single bottle can make up to 10 litres of diluted disinfectant.
To clean and disinfect hard, non-food, non-porous surfaces: Dilute 1 part Fabuloso Antibacterial with equal parts tap water and apply to surfaces by sprayer. Spray 6-8 inches from the surface with 4 pumps or until visibly wet. Leave on surfaces for at least 10 minutes. Wipe with a cloth or sponge.
First time using this particular product. I ordered it because it is antibacterial and not just all purpose like the other. It smells awesome and leaves my bathroom and floors smelling fresh and clean.
Fabuloso Multi-Purpose Cleaner, Lavender
Many Latinx people will tell you that the sweet smell of lavender and citrus triggers childhood memories of cleaning the house on a weekend morning (for us, it was Sundays), while their mother or grandmother blasts their favorite nostalgic Spanish songs.
As a cleaner, Fabuloso removes dirt and grime, and with it microorganisms. But it doesn't kill germs.
With inadequate preservative, there is a risk of bacteria growth in the recalled products. Therefore, the recalled products can contain Pseudomonas species bacteria, including Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Pseudomonas fluorescens, which are environmental organisms found widely in soil and water.
The lead plaintiffs were Elizabeth Dixon, Jeannie Patora, and Arnold Thomas, who claimed they were deceived about the safety of the products and exposed themselves to harmful bacteria in Fabuloso bottles, which were removed from store shelves due to the serious health risks the products posed for consumers.
Yes. The 2X Concentrated Original Pine-Sol® Multi-Surface Cleaner is registered with the EPA as a disinfectant when used as directed either diluted (1 cup of cleaner per ½ gallon of water) or at full-strength.
Lavender
This is the most popular Fabuloso. It reminds you (and everyone in Miami) of the Agua de Violetas that your mother used to douse you in when you were a child. Just the smell of lavender reminds you of a time when you didn't have to mop floors.
You can clean the toilet using this product by pouring a little into the bowl and scrubbing clean. But we don't recommend placing Fabuloso or any other all-purpose cleaner in the back of the toilet tank. Such cleaners can be corrosive and may degrade the rubber gasket and seal in your tank.
Mixing Fabuloso with bleach to clean and sanitize surfaces is a common hack I've heard about from family and friends, and is really popular on TikTok as a floor-cleaning solution.
A favorite in North American homes for nearly three decades, Fabuloso is renowned for its long-lasting fragrance and excellent cleaning performance. Thanks to the entire Fabuloso line of products - 2X, Antibacterial, Professional, and Original - the brand is the #1 All-Purpose Pour Cleaner*** in the US.
Smells good I enjoy mopping my wooden floor with Fabuloso since it leaves a good scent. Fabuloso not a disinfectant Fabuloso is a great cleaner and not overwhelming if diluted properly. Fabuloso is a cleaner only, not a disinfectant and yes I checked. Checked the FAQs on the product site and CDC.
The strong scent of cleaners like Pine-Sol or Fabuloso often repels cockroaches.
