Tool lockout makes stolen tools useless to anyone else. Mark a tool stolen. As soon as it's seen by the network, we'll alert you with its last seen location, even if the battery is disconnected.
Integrated with the free MILWAUKEE® ONE-KEY™ App, the tracking tags for equipment will provide location updates when it comes within 300 feet of any device with the ONE-KEY™ App, providing the last seen date, time, and location.
Currently, M18™ and M12™ batteries do not have a Bluetooth® module and CANNOT be tracked by default. If keeping track of your batteries is important to you, we recommend attaching a TICK™ tool and equipment trackers, which can be purchased in bulk and provide location updates for the items they're attached to.
Yes. You can attach the Tag to anything on your site, regardless of brand, and connect that to the Tool Connect™ app to receive tracking ability. You can also manually enter any non-connected product into your Inventory Manager portal and assign it to jobsites or people.
So how does this work? The ONE-KEY™ app will track all compatible tools within 30 m range of your phone. By building the functionality into the tool, not the battery, all tools are trackable even if the battery is not charged or connected.
It is a digital platform integrated on to all Milwaukee power tools and equipment. The tool management system works directly from the power tools themselves, meaning that you can control all of your Milwaukee tools simply by connecting them to the ONE-KEY online app.
It's not GPS, but it does work effectively due to the large installed base of users. The system uses Bluetooth connectivity to the app, but the large number of users creates a sort of mesh network where tools can be tracked even without a battery inserted.

Tap into your tool's details and simply switch its status from “available” to “missing” or “stolen.” Switching the status of your One-Key compatible tool will create a flag in the app to remotely lock out a tool; the tool will sit in this “Pending Lock” state and, once seen by our network, the tool will lock out.
What Is the Milwaukee TICK and How Does It Work? A heavy-duty Bluetooth® tracker that provides location updates within a 100 ft range of a mobile phone equipped with the One-Key app.
No battery pack damage will occur, however, if the charger and battery pack are left plugged in. 12V and 18 V Li-Ion batteries in the 12 and 18 V Li-Ion Combo Charger. Other types of batteries may cause personal injury and damage. Remove the battery pack from the tool for charging when convenient for you and your job.
Like hardwired systems, Plug and Play GPS trackers get their power from your vehicle's electrical system, so they don't require batteries either. But there's no need for professional installation.
You can also Reset the tool to factory settings should it be needed.

The quick answer is that any sufficiently solid substance may easily block a GPS signal. The GPS signals can be scrambled by aluminum paper, concrete, or any wooden cover. GPS signals can pass through plastics and fiberglass, which is why GPS devices can maintain signal strength even while disguised within a car.
