Polishing the surface – remove light and deep scratches
Light scratches in the sheet material can easily be polished away with a soft microfibre cloth and a fine cut polishing agent. Always use a fine polish such as Xerapol, a polish for car paint is also suitable and even toothpaste can come in handy in an emergency.
Mr Sheen is the brand name of a range of cleaning materials, mainly floor and furniture polish, created in Australia in the 1950s by Samuel Taylor Pty Ltd. An aerosol, the product uses a combination of silicones, waxes and solvents and is currently manufactured by Reckitt.
Avoid scourers and abrasives - they will damage the surface. Do not cut or chop on the laminate surface. Keep waxes and polishes (such as Mr Sheen or Pledge) well away, they merely dull the natural shine. Do not place burning cigarettes onto laminate surfaces.

There are no corrosives, alkalies, acids or abrasives in the formulation.
Use a liberal amount of plastic cleaner (NOVUS 1: Clean and Shine) to safely remove surface dust and dirt. In addition, test scratch removers in a small or inconspicuous area for compatibility. The type of polishing cloth you use will make a difference. The ideal cloth is nonabrasive, absorbent and lint free.
Gently sand down the scratches until you can't feel them. After that, spray the plastic surface with a plastic cleaner and use a microfiber towel to wipe off the dirt and residue. Then, use the polishing/buffing pads to liberally apply polish to the sanded area.
Don't use abrasive tools
Laminate floors can scratch, so steer clear of anything abrasive (steel wool, for example). You'll want to use a soft-bristle broom or dust mop to sweep up debris. If you're vacuuming, be careful to use an attachment without a beater bar or rotating brush, which could scratch the surface.

Damp e cloth (general purpose or dusting), followed by polishing cloth. Lots of eco brands do furniture polish too - method, bio-d and earth friendly for example. Ever so slightly dampen a regular duster. It will be sufficient.
