As a solid, nonporous surface, Corian® Solid Surface can be maintained with minimum care to retain the original appearance. Because it can be repaired, Corian® Solid Surface will still look and perform like a new installation, while other surfacing materials will often need to be replaced.
Make sawdust from scrap pieces and mix with clear epoxy or find the proprietary glue that the contractors use, and use it to fill the holes then sand it smooth. I use Corian to build guitar nuts and saddles at work all the time.
When seaming two pieces of Corian® Solid Surface, it is important that the two pieces are a perfect fit. The quality of a seam is determined by how well the material fits together. The ideal preparation for two edges to be seamed is the router pull- through method (Mirror Cut).
A professional should be able to repair this, no problem. The selling point of Corian is that it is a repairable material. The crack will need to be drilled and dremeled out. Color match epoxy applied. Dry time. Then sanded smooth. The sanding part can be tricky to match the existing areas wear and tear.
Cut a color-matching strip of Corian® and sand it to fit the “V” groove snugly. Clean all surfaces with clear, denatured alcohol and a clean, white cloth and allow to dry. Apply Joint Adhesive for DuPont Corian® liberally onto the “V” groove. Install the repair strip.
In many cases, Corian® sheet with veined pattern installations can be repaired successfully and in an inconspicuous manner by following the technique below. The templates should be pear-shaped as shown in Figure H-1. This shape gives the best results to match the random veining in veined sheet materials.
Does epoxy bond to Corian®? Epoxy forms a very strong bond to Corian® and is a great adhesive to bond two pieces of Corian together. However, when it comes to installing a Corian fixture, counter, or sink, it is recommended to use a silicone material in case the Corian® fixture ever needs to be removed, or reset.

This material is designed to withstand everyday wear and tear and last for decades, usually up to 50 years, without the need for major repair or replacement. However, should it be damaged, the solid surface can be repaired in the event of minor damage.
It will not harden, shrink, crack or crumble. Oatey and Hercules offer a stain-free plumbers putty for natural surface materials found in sinks, countertops, strainers and shower bases including granite, marble, quartz, sandstone and Corian®.
There are two common and effective DIY methods of repairing a cracked solid surface countertop: using cyanoacrylate (super glue), or using epoxy filler material. Both materials are readily available at any home center or hardware store.
The design must accommodate thermal expansion in the structure to which the Corian® solid surface is fastened as the inserts will not accommodate any movement. The inserts should be installed according to the manufacturer's instructions. Screws should never be inserted directly into Corian® solid surface.
