Allow curtain to dry completely between showers
Spread curtain open and hang it outside of the tub to dry after taking a shower. Reducing humidity in your bathroom by opening a window or running the overhead fan can also help with drying.
So when machine-washing curtains and draperies, use the gentle cycle, cool or lukewarm water, and mild detergent. If possible, hang on a clothesline to dry, or put them in a clothes dryer on a no-heat or delicate setting.

If you have a plastic shower curtain liner, it's easy to see when mold, mildew, or other buildup has accumulated. You can wash it with a diluted bleach solution and a sponge, throw it in the washing machine (hang to dry), or just toss it and purchase a new one.
Drying Conditions
High-heat drying can worsen shrinkage, so it's advisable to air-dry curtains or use a low-heat setting. Removing curtains from the dryer while slightly damp allows for gentle reshaping to their original dimensions.
