A regular wash in warm water and mild detergent should do the job actually… maybe use a toothbrush to scrub mold fibres away. Failing that .. Try soaking it in a mild solution of hot water and any cleaner that fights mold.
Polyurethane is very resistant to extreme temperature, meaning harsh environmental conditions and many chemicals rarely cause material degradation. Most polyether based polyurethanes do not support fungal, mold and mildew growth and are therefore highly suitable for tropical environments.
The problem with polyurethane foam
It's lightweight, durable, and provides protection, cushioning, and comfort to end users – yet its high susceptibility to microbial growth does the exact opposite.
Although its surface properties are not very conducive to the direct and rapid attachment of mold, if the environmental conditions continue to be unfavorable, mold may still find a foothold on polystyrene foam and gradually grow and spread.
One hundred laboratory-synthesized polyurethanes were tested by a mixed-culture petri dish method for susceptibility to fungus attack. Polyether polyurethanes were moderately to highly resistant to fungal attack, whereas all polyester polyurethanes tested were highly susceptible.
Urethane can be stored for a long time as long as its kept dry and sealed tightly. You will know that its been contaminated or moisture got in if, when you open it, it looks like cottage cheese.
Options such as porcelain tile, vinyl plank, and engineered wood are highly recommended by Buffalo Restoration for their durability and resistance to moisture. These materials are easy to clean and maintain, making them ideal for areas susceptible to water exposure.
For the memory foam mattress, mold and mildew problems are more common thanks to the excellent moisture absorption capabilities, making it an ideal environment for mold to grow in humid situations. Inside the foam, there are little air pockets, all of which can contain spores once moisture enters them.
Don't use vinegar or baking soda.

Discoloration — Mold on a mattress can cause the material to turn different colors. Look for dark spots or blotches, especially if they seem to pop up without a cause. They might feel distinctly fuzzy or slimy.

The shelf life of all Polytek® liquid polyurethane products (rubber, plastic, foam) is six months from the date of shipment in unopened containers. After this time, the product may either cure improperly or may begin to solidify in the container.

Even though polyurethane is waterproof and weatherproof, if it's left in an area with high humidity levels or temperatures of more than 122° Fahrenheit (50° Celsius), the material will degrade. It should be kept away from these conditions to ensure that it lasts for as long as possible.
