If you're using Raid® baits, place them in areas where your kids or pets won't find them or won't be able to reach.
Keep pets and children out of the room while spraying the insecticide until the spray dries (at least 30 minutes). Use it to keep bugs out. Focus on areas not accessible by people or pets, like behind and under cabinets. Keep the windows open for ventilation.
Only apply pest-control sprays while your kids and pets are outside or in another room of your home. After applying insecticide spray products, exit the treated area, keep the room closed and let the product dry before returning.
Treatment is focused on decontamination and on flushing the insecticide out of the system, whether through vomiting or by emptying the bowels. Ant killers containing borax are pet safe when applied as directed. Borax is low toxicity to humans and pets. Especially in the tiny amounts used for ant control.
During indoor pesticide applications, remove all pets from the home or keep them in untreated areas of the home. If you use foggers (bug bombs), always remove all animals from the house.
Keep Pets Indoors During and After Outdoor Treatments: For outdoor pesticide applications, keep pets inside until the treatment is dry and ideally for up to 48 hours if possible. This reduces the chances of them coming into contact with any harmful chemicals.
Insecticides have the highest risk for animals while they are still wet and lower risk once dried. To keep your pets safe, it is best to keep them away from the treated area until the insecticide has dried completely.
Some vets advise pet owners against using chemical pesticides, but pet owners who do use Roundup should keep pets off grass for 48 hours after application. Owners should also avoid walking dogs on uniform, weedless grass because this grass likely has had chemical pesticide or herbicide treatments.

Also, Raid spray is made to be used in the house, so they're generally not terribly toxic to people or animals, so unless the animals were licking the spray right off the floor, there's not much here to be worried about.
Once the area has dried, it is perfectly safe for children and pets to return. There's no airborne residual or smell. Once dry, the treatment binds to the surface it was applied to and takes effect.

The standard practice is to wait two to four hours post-treatment before re-entering your home. This precaution minimizes health risks from chemical exposure.
